Bobby variations?

I know this isn't the right place to ask but seeing as so many people have posted big pony pics in their posts on this thread I was wondering if one of you might be kind enough to talk me through how to do it because I've tried it a few different ways with no luck so far and I want to make my pics lovely and big! lol

Find an online image hosting site. Try Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket or TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting. You'll have to get an account with Photobucket.com, but you can upload many photos at once, whereas you don't have to sign into Tinypic but have to upload photos individually.

Either host will give you several codes for the picture, but the one you want is the one surrounded by tags. Copy (ctrl + C) that code and then paste (ctrl + V) it into your post wherever you want the image to show up.

Sorry if that didn't make any sense; I'm not very good when it comes to explaining things. If you need any more help at all, feel free to ask. :)

No, Lavander Woosie isn't a UK pony. None of the Happy Tails were sold through official channels in the UK... only excess stock and the oddities! (though the oddities weren't sold in Woolies... too mainstream ;) ) The Lavander one was actually sold in the US! Though much smaller quantities than the green version. However the lavender one has many put together variants that were sold in the UK, while the green one has only one (which I own)

There are a load of these little beauties! They're one my pet collections, some of the few truly UK ponies ;)

I wrote an article on them a while back, over at the Arena, though a few more have surfaced since then My Little Pony Arena » Forums » Pony Talk » MLP Nirvana » Spotlight on... Happy Tails Variants!

I have pics of most of mine here:

How d'you mean 'some of the few truely UK ponies'? Because alot of the 'UK's' were sold in other parts of Europe too?

Glad I could help you out! :) I'm afraid I can't help on the re-sizing thing though. My camera just takes pics that size, and I have no idea why or how!

There may be a setting on your camera that allows you to take different sized pics? Or maybe that would only help with the "weight" and not the size?

Oh sorry, I ment re-sizing them on the forum (I was hoping to make them lovely and big! lol) but that's OK I have a lead on that now : D thanks to yet another really helpfull member! Whoever said this place is even friendly than it was in the old days was deffinatly right!

Woops! I totally forgot that I haven't posted a pic of my Bobbi yet! She's the more comman pink haired vertion, but her tail has faided to white, as seems to happen alot. Although with all the other strange, miss-matched hair variants I've seen on this thread, maybe the ones with the 'faided tails' actually started off with pailer tails than mains?

Hey again! Thanks again for the link to your article! I just read it and it was really usefull thanks, so the no-symbol Romper was known about then? (I saw her listed under known variants and I'm guessing you haven't just added her?)
Also, you mentioned that Reaperfox bought one of these variants in the 80's, but I thought these must have been around in the 90's not 80's as they're believed to be mish mashs made out of all the bits that were left-over right at the end of the run aren't they?

Yep, that was what I meant about the UK ponies ;) Most ponies that have been given that term were actually sold in other places in Europe as well. I think it was just that in the early days there weren't so many European collectors, but there were a few UK people, so that was where the info came from :)

I don't think it was at the end of the full run they were made, because that would put it at around 1995, which is way too late for them, but more like at the end of the batch? They only use the odds and ends from princess ponies and happy tails ponies to make these, so I think it would be around the late 80s :) Romper is one of the ones that has several versions :)

Glad you found the article useful! It was actually rather fun to write :)

1. Yeah I know just what you mean.

2. Yeah that sounds far more logical doesn't it? Stupid question here but did we get the HT ponies in the UK? I never remember seeing any at the time so I'm not sure.

3. I saw! So the non-symbol vertion was deffinatly known about years ago as that's when you wrote your post right?

4. Very much so! Thankyou again for linking to it!
