see, my bf got me these 2 ladies. and i think i read someone had a scootaloo that looked like it had regrind?? or something. anyways mine has the same problem. her body is pink'ish and her head all orange.

and err XD sweetie belle has a butt and it is cracked. or whatever happened behind here. all 3 i have has this little mark thing under their tails and it annoys me that sweetie belle now has this odd looking tail. and i tried combing their hair, and their hairplugs were put down several times so i had to rip those up so i could get the comb through...

have any of you noticed that the new ponies have weird flaws?

ETA: RD has the same

About Sweetie Belle's tail, there have been ponies in the past that got 2 tails (Delc17 had a Love-a-belle with 2 tails, I think... I'll see if I can find the picture. Nevermind, it was just a split tail, but here it is: http://www.mlptp.net/forums/mlp-discussion/26280-possible-2-tailed-pony.html) However, since SB and Scootaloo both have that weird dent below their tails, this makes me think it was the "divet" where the tail was supposed to go, only the machine missed it. The G1s have that. I remember someone had a Wind Whistler and the divet showed on that because they rooted the tail wrong, or to the side of that, so it looks like a little round indention where the tail is supposed to go.

As for Scootaloo's color... I remember that other post. It looks like yours' body is completely pink though, rather than orange with pink splotches. (http://www.mlptp.net/forums/mlp-discussion/69697-seems-wrong.html?highlight=regrind) That's really odd- I wonder if the heads and tails are made of a different type of plastic on all the new ponies and it just doesn't show up on the other colors? I'll keep alook out. Do the head and body have different textured plastic? It kind of looks like it in the pic, but I dont' have an OOB NL pony yet.

The um... extra tailhole has to be where they're injecting the plastic into the mold. ALL of the G3.5s have it. I haven't seen one that's cracked yet so that bites for you =/

And yeah lots of problems with instant regrind ;~; Can we report this to Hasbro at all because it's getting ridiculous! I'm just lucky enough to have a (so far) trouble free Scoot.

it doesn't look like it was supposed to be like this, it really looks cracked. scootalo had some leftover plastic around her tail too. their bodies are harder plastic and their heads are more like g3 plastic. their feet look funky too it's like they have holes in their legs and there's even harder plastic in the middle.

one of my custom 3-9s split when i pulled the tail through, though i had just attributed that to the tail being too thivk.

and yeah CC i was the one who posted the Scool discxoloring; i've also found a SS whoes body had lightened AFTER i bought it to being a full colpor brighter than the head. i've already repainted her though so i can't show that off, but yeah...

i think the divit is just from the mold seeing as the bodies are 1 solid piece. all my 3-9s have it. it's annoying all the different plastics they use on these; it just causes so many problems *sighs*

:reaper: Kat :reaper:

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wasn't saying it was supposed to be that way, but was theorizing that the divet is in the mold to mark where the tail hole should go, only the machine that puts the tail in must have missed the mark, leading to that area being thinner plastic than others, therefore that explains why it ripped when the real tail was put in close to the divet, but not right on. Know what I mean? Of course that could be wrong, if so many of them have that- it would be odd that they'd all had their tails put in in the wrong place. Maybe it's just part of the mold, like that part on the Newborn Cuties... on the bottom of their diapers.

If I could find the Wind Whistler pic, it would make more sense. It's definitely a flaw and not meant to be that way.

Well, the different plastic in the bodies and heads kind of explains the different color a little, but that's really weird. It's like the type of plastic they used for the bodies doesn't hold or keep color very well if it fades like that/regrinds, whatever you want to call it, LOL.

This is a big QA/QC issue, I hope Hasbro finds out about it and fixes it... that must be annoying!

oh yesyes i know what you mean >_> whatever it is it annoying!

yeah there is like 3 different kinds of plastic and their bodies seems to be prone to discolouring and cracks already... why couldn't they just be normal pony plastic all the way

LOL Hasbro fail

The original G3s were made of soft rubbery plastic. Some of them had glitter some didn't. But you couldn't tell where the CHEAP half-body lines are. Other than them being cheap jerks, I wonder why they switched their method. Are the G3s and NL G3s made of the same plastic?

I just bought a long haired rainbow dash today and it has the butt thing too its weird lookin :p

wow, thats bad. scootaloos whole body is a lighter shade. im sorry yours aren't better than they should be. i wonder if its just those version that have errors and not the ones with their names on them.
i am happy that my star song has no problems. at least none that i can see that bugs me.
