G1 sticker . . . board . . . thing? (Anyone recognize?)

One of my best friends gave me this MLP item from her childhood. She thought maybe she got it in a mail order offer, but doesn't know for sure. Does anyone recognize it? It's a fold out board, like the kind used for board games, with a MLP background scene and glittery MLP stickers to put on it. (The stickers are NOT reusable--too bad. ;) )

I put Shady in there just for size comparison.

My friend lives in Canada, BTW, so I'm assuming this was available there.
 
I just got one of those in a lot of mail order pamphlets the other day, I'm in the US so I'm guessing it wasn't confined to one area, but - I was lead to believe it was a mail order thing, but I'm not sure, that's just what I was told from the seller.
I can take pix of mine if anyone is interested :tongue2:

That looks really cool. They remind of the stickers that stayed on with warmth though those are not. But thats what the board reminds me of xD
 
I just looked at mine an it doesn't have any glitter on the stickers, LadyM could you get a close up pic of your stickers, is there any chance the glitter was added, I wonder if they made 2 different sets?
 
What does the writing on the bottom left, under Lemon Drop, say?
I wonder if a stationery company, like Current, put out the sticker board. That sure looks like the pink and blue MLP castle, not a random colorforms background.
 
I'll take closer pics of the board later today. (About to go to class now. ;) )

I don't think it's a colorforms board because aren't those slightly shiny/slick-feeling? This has a texture just like a regular board-game board.
 
Here are pix of mine, it is made by Hasbro - I also took a close up picture of a sticker thing, showing that mine don't have glitter. (When you get a chance LadyM, post close ups of your stickers please)

Haha! That is hilarious! Looks like just the head of Skydancer poking out of the clouds!

It seems familiar, like I've seen it before in the package. I don't own it, but I may have saved a pic of it sometime. I'll try to search my computer when I get off work and get home. :)

No, unfortunately you can't move them, but if you scratch them they flake off...I'll probably be doing some scratching, to see if I can clean some of the board up - Bow Tie, & Lemon Drop will be staying in the tree tho :hugegrin:
LadyM - do your stickers just scratch off too?

Wow, that board is definitely the same as mine and so are the stickers (aside from the non-sparkliness.) I recognize the crazy pink rabbit and the happy snake. ^_^
