I am so happy to know that DPP's AA made it to her safe and sound. I had a lot of fun making her. I was also ver nervous as this was the first custom I had made for someone else. My pictures kind of suck, so if DPP wants to post better ones, I won' t mind in the least.
So she started out as a very sad MM windy:
I thought that I was going to have a really hard time getting her symbol off, but it was surprisingly easy. Here is is all naked:
I would have never thought that painting a pony yellow would prove to be such a challenge. It took forever! She must have like 12 coats of yellow paint on her. Here she is at about coat 6:
I had to practice drawing her symbol about 50 times before I even attempted to paint it on. This was also the first custom I have ever done where I was going to do a fell eye repaint. I was so nervous about both. Here is the beginning of both:
Luckily it didn't turn out as badly as I was expecting it to. I hope to become better at painting eyes in the future, but here she is all done right before her hair:
I tired to add tinsel to the hair at first, but I kept crinkling it. So after about 3 attempts, I decided to scrap it, and just use only hair. Here she is completed. I was so proud of her.
Thank you DPP for including Anchors Away on your list. I really enjoyed making her. I had a hard time mailing her out. I didn't want her to leave! lol. I hope she likes her new home. Ok that's it.
