MLPTP EVENT Halloween Photo Hunt Discussion Thread (WINNERS ANNOUNCED!)

I got Step 2 in on time! And now my poor G3 baby has been partially beheaded due to the water inside :( Ah well...

I can't believe I missed the deadline for the bonus, but I am glad I got the points anyway! D:

ETA my in process pics of the frozen baby pony, Lavender Locket! :)

<--In the cup after she was frozen--I worried I wouldn't be able to free her!

Some turnaround photos...I kinda wish we could submit more than one, because I really liked how she looked all the way around! Ah well. :)

We used boiling water to make clear ice since the water heater was down, but I managed to fix it earlier after getting a new element.

My photos (iPhone X) upload fine to our desktop, but when I open them in the photo editing software (ArcSoft PhotoStudio 2000) to reduce their size, I have to rotate each photo 270 degrees. Not sure if you have a similar issue.
That's what happens when I first get it off the phone but then after I turn it right side up and go to post it, it flips on it's side for some reason, maybe I shouldn't try to flip it and see if that fixes it.

How are you all keeping your baby pony from floating in the water? I’m struggling to get her all the way in the ice!
I used bait babies, pulled their heads off, submerged them to fill and popped their heads back on so they stayed sunken.

I saw @Mintyeon tied hers down with a heavy item as a weight.

I got a cup that was a little smaller than a baby pony, and just smooshed her in there. I tried using a spoon to weigh her down but it didn’t work
I froze her in a plastic container that was the right size filled it to the brim and then put a lid on it the pressure from the lid push her down unfortunately water got into her body and I had to remove her head

Same! I used a cup for measuring rice I had with my old rice cooker (RIP, rice cooker), and that seemed to keep the pony from floating back up to the top too much. It was tough to get everything set up though!

Honolulu is mad at me. She has never been so cold! I ended up filling the container half full and letting her float, freezing, and then filling the container the rest of the way to encase her, and then freezing again.
