Hey all,

If you haven't seen my nick appear, it's because I almost haven't visited the TP since last year. :O Sorry I feel guilty about that. I actually logged back in because I received a PM notice from SoSoftClaire about the pics for the 2011 SDCC Egyptian pony. ^^

I thought to make up for time lost, I'll post something to lend this board some vibrance! ^.^ It's definitely not as busy as it once was. I'm going to share my grail story for 2011 that I posted on the Nirvana board on the Arena. I'd love to hear about your grail story for this year as well. IMO, 2011 is a great great year! Full of ponies, friends and family! :")

Those who know me are probably sick of hearing my incessant whine about needing Greek Sunbeam for the past many years, but never really buy her. Well I tried, but whenever I have money, there's either no Sunbeam or the majorly flawed ones turn up for over $100. Lucky you all today, I can finally shut up!

Unfortunately, the MOC Greek Sunbeam's card isn't as rundown as I had hoped, but good news is her bubble is 1/3 loose!!! Her display symbol is a little faded :( Makes me wonder if I should tear her out to repaint her symbols. She doesn't have the regular head and body difference, so that is a relief, but it's hard to say under Singapore weather :p Hopefully she'll stay uniform this way all her life. Here's hoping some day her bubble will fall off on its own, I'll be treating her as roughly as I can :) Seriously want her loose, but it's like a Greek Sunbeam drought out there. I was offering $150 but no one cared to throw one out for sale :p ended up with a MOC in the end. Thanks to you-who-must-not-be-named, you know who you are so let's keep this our little secret, unless you intend to tell on yourself. ;)

Next to Greek Sunbeam, I've always wanted Greek Windy because I love her symbols. I remember seeing her at Bridgetsmum's place when I visited her in Fremont in 2008, but I was somehow disappointed then because she looked more pink than purple (or maybe she had so many Greek and they dwarved Windy). However, when I took mine out of the packet today, I thought she was the prettiest thing I've seen in a looooooooooooong time!!! Sorry Sunbeam, I still love you too, but you're MOC! You failed to catch my love, 'cos you're not "loose" enough. lol Maybe it's the lighting or something, but I find that Windy is not all that pink as I remembered her to be. Mine looks more like a pinkish grape colour, so she's still purple. She looks so good hanging out with Sunbeam - they're like Whitney and Mariah, just no screeching "When You Believe" when my sisters' babies are sleeping. ^^ I think I need to move her up my pony pantheon. Absolutely worth the buy!

I didn't think I'll own these two gals after so many years, but somehow by coincidence, they happen to pop out when I have the money, and I didn't hesitate to scoop them up, so POOP, here they are now in my collection. ^^ I'm so glad I didn't make any new year resolution because they always never come true, but the right ponies always pop up when I least expect them to. Ahhh sweet!

This is what I have been with for the past year while I waited for a Greek Sunbeam to appear. She's still a pretty custom, and she's different enough for me to want to keep her. ^^ She can be Greek Sunbeam's twin. Still a pretty pony IMO and I love her yellow eyes.

So this my grail story of 2011!

Oh by the way just to add, I caught a whiff of Sunbeam through the loose side of her bubble. I know a lot of people describe the Greeks as having a vanilla smell, but OMG I almost fainted when I caught the smell. It doesn't smell like vanilla but rather like preserved sour plums with the sickly sweet smell. Kind of disgusting actually. LoL Not to mention preserved sour plums are so ugly, I don't even dare to go near them. :yikes: It's a good thing Windy doesn't smell like it anymore. Haha, anyone has had similar experience as I do?

Goldenglopper!!!! What a cool story! And it's good to see you back around here too!

I can honestly say I've never smelled a Greek pony, but I've heard of the legendary scent. Sounds kind of neat, I'd love to smell it one day, but I don't know if I'll ever own one. (Will you let me smell your Greeks? LOL!)

Wow, those are two really beautiful ponies. I've never failed to see how without-a-doubt gorgeous the Greek ponies really are. I say anyone who has one is extremely lucky to have her!

Hmm... I don't have a grail story for this year yet, but my fingers are crossed.

I too agree, ponies pop up whtn you least expect them!
