G4 My Little Pony x Mr Potato Head Toys - Thoughts?

I just saw this get posted to the MLP Merch Databse (link)

They're happy meal toys running right now in the UAE, and they sure are....something.

Honestly I'm kind of amused by them, if these got released in the US I'd probably try and grab the pony ones, just for the novelty. But there's definitely something uncanny about them.

All the pony potatoes have eyelashes but the transformer potatoes don't. I wonder if they will have more pony and transformer bodies than what they show here.

I think they're annoying because we're in a new generation and they're still shoving G4 down our throats. This is also not the first time they've done this. There was a rarity one.

It makes sense though because in the UAE they are still actively airing G4 as of 2021 they had only aired Season 5 of MLP:FiM.

Other parts of the world are also very behind. These are frequently places where western media has a tendency to take an extra long time to release shows. Then tend to get heavily edited to coincide with a country/region's status quo and laws and to add subs/dubs in appropriate languages.

But I do agree the "main character core" is very well used and over done by Hasbro (and Disney).
