Well, the other day I found a nice lady on Craigslist who was selling an American Girl doll for $30, she didn't know what doll it was, just that it needed a lot of TLC. So early this morning I went out to pick her up and pay for her...but who should come with?

I was going to take Skywishes, but she backed out due to a bad hair day..As did NBBE Baby Half Note. But Toboggan who had just came back from a day at the spa wanted to come!

So we got ready to go..

And off we went!!

We got downtown and found out the bus we needed to get to the lady's house didn't come for another hour, so..we decided we needed to look at the cool stuff downtown!

This is my local Barnes & Noble, it used to be a theater (Not the movie variety) a long long time ago, I was going to take pictures inside, but I was running out of time. The interior looks like a castle, and the ceiling is a shade of midnight blue and has small lights set up to look like stars. It's soo cool!

We rode the bus to the lady's house on the other side of town...

And after a few moments we emerged not only with the doll, but she gave us a few sets of clothes for free!

Yay!!! She was a Josephina!! I'm currently fixing her hair (Total rat's nest of a braid problem.) And she has what appears to be gold paint pen marks all over her eyelids and cheeks. The picture here couldn't catch the few marks on her cheeks, but they are annoyingly enough there.

How sweet! Yup, that's definately Josefina.

You can detangle her hair really well with braid spray. That's what I did for Tara (who was a goodwill doll a friend sent me)

oh your Toboggan looks so pretty, fresh from the spa...
I used to work at Barnes and Noble, I WISH mine was that cool.

Holy crap! I wanted one of these so, so bad as a kid!
(only I wanted the custom kind that looked like me.)

Congrats!! Nice find. And that's soooo cute that Toboggan went with you and you
got pictures. I should take my ponies out with me like that, but I'm afraid of
losing them!

Looks like fun trip. So great to get a nice deal when someone just wants to sell something you really really want. She is pretty.

Major congrats! Josefina is a great first AG doll! She is so pretty! Love your adventure pictures. :) So fun!

That is so awesome that your ponies go on trips with you. Have fun combing out Josephina's hair!

Big congrats! I think Josefina is one of the most beautiful AG dolls.

Congrats! AG dolls are so awesome especially when combined with ponies! :D

Awesome picture-story! I loved it! Also, my sister has Josephina and she's an awesome doll. Congratulations. I wish I could see the inside of that Barnes and Noble!

What cute pictures! :D Looks like you had fun.

I never really got into the AG set.. but one of my best friends in school had tons of them growing up. :)

Uh...I just noticed something. I though all AG's had their little buck teeth sticking out?
Josephina doesn't seem to have them. You're sure she's official and not some knock
off?

Sorry, not to ruin your fun, just something I noticed.

Taken at a high angle, the lips cover the teeth in the Josefina mold. You can see that in my sig with Marisol. She's authentic.
