Traveling Butterscotch?

Hi, all -

I have seen some other posts in this vein, and I wanted to throw an idea out there.

I have a Butterscotch who thinks that my house is fine and everything, but she yearns to travel. She wants to see the country, and maybe other countries as well. I guess I'm asking if anyone would be a host family for Butterscotch, show her the local sights, and then send her on her way to her next destination.

Would anyone be interested in helping Butterscotch achieve her dreams of travel? Am I just a crazy person over here? Well, that's likely, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyhow. :)

THATS A COOL IDEA! We used to do a similar thing in grade school with a gingerbread man that went from school to school! :)
I'm only in Pennsylvania, or else I would host butterscotch :)
 
Sounds fun and cute! I would show her some sights in New Jersey if she's interested in seeing America's armpit!
 
Absolutely...love playing tour guide in the City... :)
 
She can visit Newport, WA if she wants. We can roadtrip to ID and see the falls!
 
I'd love to do it. Someone was going to do it a few years back with Blossom but it never happened.
 
This is fantastic! I don't care WHERE you live, Butterscotch wants to see your town! I'll start getting the prep work ready...anyone who's interested, I'd ask you to post her to the next town. I'm not asking for major postage, and if anything is over $5, I'd pay you via Paypal. If she goes international, I'll pay the postage, also via Paypal.

That sounds like so much fun! If she wants to come to Northern Cali I'll take her to see the Golden Gate bridge!

Maybe you could make it into a swap type thing, where someone adds something for the next person to receive her (a pony or so perhaps).
 
If Butterscotch is feeling really adventurous she's welcome to come down under :p
 
I was going to do something similar to this with Firefly - send her off on holidays with people, let her go to different countries and have her photo taken in different places. Unfortunately Firefly went AWOL - before her trip even began :( Had loads of trips lined up - Europe, NZ and Borneo, also the Philippines, had a blog all set up too. Was even going to make a little scrapbook with things she collected along the way!

Anyways its not going to happen now - I wanted it to be done with Firefly!

Butterscotch is welcome to come to the UK anytime - I live in the Wescountry so sure I can grab a photo of her next to some scrumpy!!! :)
 
What a great idea ! She can come to my little town if she wants and ill take her on a hike up the Bruce trail :p
 
Both of my kids did the Flat Stanley project for school and thought it was great. I also like the idea of including a little something for the next person to receive her. Are we supposed to add anything else to the package? Like postcards or something from where she visits that will all end up back with iamtobi? I think taking pictures and posting them would be a great idea, too. Please add me to the list!

That's what I did! I couldn't remember the name. Flat Stanley lol
 
This sounds awesome. I don't know if she'd be interested in visiting Mississippi, but I'm sure I could show her a good time. Haha.

Adding things is a cool idea, but keep in mind it will up the shipping cost, especially down the line.

If Butterscotch wants to come to Northern Cali a second time, I can take her to see the Golden Gate Bridge a second time! ;) Or maybe I'll just take her to see the Bay Bridge...
