what does everyone do with their g3 boxes

just wondering i kept all mine and i no some ppl just keep the backcards.. the boxes take up quite a bit of room... what do you all do with your boxes???

When I was buying G3s, I just kept the backcards and threw everything else away.

I kept the backcards too, and still do for some reason. I just put them in a big ziplock bag.

However, I've heard of collectors keeping the backcard and the "name plates" (those front pieces of cardboard with the name of the pony on it) and they put that and the brush, and any other accessories in ziplock bags- 1 per pony, and put that in a filing box. That seemed like a neat way to organize it and keep the brushes organized too.

Yep...I kept most of the backcards of the ones that I bought at the store. Most of my collection is second hand though. The boxes and backcards all are stored in plastic tubs. Luckily I have room for those!

When I de-box my g3s I always keep the back cards... I throw the rest of the box away usually.

i first kept them but now i just keep the backcards and trash the rest.. they take up too much space and space is getting to be an issue around here *sigh* (hey.. is that good enough to be english or doesn´t it make any sense at all?? mean the issue part.. it just popped into my mind )

I did try keeping all the boxes at one point, but the house was getting flooded. So now I only keep the backcards, and the name cards from the front of the boxes, as SoSoftClaire mentioned. I didn't have the sense to neatly file the name cards with my brushes though - they're all in a seperate box in small bags with names written out individually on scraps of paper! Why am I such an idiot at times!

The plastic parts of the packaging get recycled. Although lately our local recycling centre has been refusing the inner packaging (the bits the ponies stand on in the boxes). I don't know why that should be...

I wonder if those boxes are recycleable? It's a bit different the type of plastic compared to a soda bottle, but I wonder if you could.

Me too - the only exception is ponies that you can't see through the box, like comic con or fair ponies.

Those ponies are removed from the box, and stored in front of or next to the box. But never removed from their plastic bag!

even though I don't collect g3's, I do buy the occasionally one that I think is particularly pretty, and I have yet to have the heart to de-box.

i think you can recycle the plastic.. at loeast we here in germany can.. i always but the plastic in the yellow recycle bags we have for that

I haven't deboxed any that came to me in a box, but if I did, I would probably keep the empty boxes in one of those underbed storage containers so they wouldn't take up too much room in the house.

I keep them in their boxes, if I receive them in their boxes. Any pony that is special and can't be seen in the box, I take out but leave in their bag...
