What was your very first pony? And how did you get it?

My very first pony was Greek BlueBelle. :D
She was either a birthday present or a Christmas present, I can't remember.

Mine was Cotton Candy, my nan bought her for me and I loved her so much. I still have her although she is in bad shape (no tail, and covered in ink)but ill always keep her.

I didn't really have a 'first pony' I believe all mine were second hand, and we got a big lot with the carry case stable form a car boot sale. So my first ponis were:

Seashell
cherries jubilee
lickety Split
bowtie
applejack
2 X Starshine
Bride pony

They ended up going to my cousins when i grew out of them as they were in financial trouble as a family so we gave our old toys and clothes and stuff to them, so i don't regret it, they weren't in amazing condition anyway.

However, i did have a baby bille and her bunny, so i think i may have got her as a new pony... does anyone know the date they were released in the UK?

my first ones were medley and baby glory and they came from a garage sale, then my love for mlp's just grew from there! thats all i wanted for christmas, easter, my birthday...i even got a MOC ss fifi from the tooth fairy one year, instead of money! best tooth lost ever!...lol!

I dont remember who came first, I might have even got them all at once. I think I was like 4. I had ponies before I started Kindergarden. The earliest memories I have is of me playing with Blossom and baby cotton candy in a shoe box at the foot of my bed. I still have that Blossom! She's mostly brown now. I know I had firefly too. (I still have my old Firefly too!)

My mom got them for me because my older cousin had ponies and she and I were playing with them and I really liked them. I dont remember asking for them or my mom giving them to me or anything. I do remember that my cousin had Applejack and I really wanted her but never got her.

When I started recollecting AJ was the first one I started looking for:) I also wanted Moondancer because I always liked her too but only had Glory. To this day early ponies are my favorite.

mine was cotton candy, and I stole it from my older sister. One I legitimately got was baby firefly. She was my fav.

I don't remember specifically. My mom tells me Glory was the first, and was a Christmas or birthday present in '84 when I was two. I like that, because I can't ever remember my life without ponies.

I still have that Glory, and most of the rest of that set. They're my favorites from my childhood collection, and they're quite beat up but I still love them. :)

My first was FF Cotton Candy from my mom at our cottage in Prince Edward Island when I was 4 or 5.

It was a rainy day, so not a good beach day... then Mom was like: "I have something I think you'll really like." Little did she know... here I am 27 years old and still loving and collecting them!

When my mom saw my collection at my new house she was shocked at all the ponies I have. My response? "You started it" Love ya Mommy!!!!!

My very first pony was Moondancer, looking back. I got only one or two ponies during my early childhood, one was Moondancer and the other one was Twilight.

My first G2 was Sky Skimmer and my first G3 was Pinkie Pie.

And, also worth mentioning perhaps, is the first pony I bought as an adult when I started collecting again: it was a gorgeous near mint NSS Lickety Split with lovely pink hair. :)

My first pony was Glory. I even wrote it down the day I got her... she was my favorite then and is still my favorite G1 now. I was 12. =)

Sometime last year I picked up my first G3, Merriweather, pretty much at random at the grocery store. I had no idea then that I would get sucked into collecting... or that it would be so much fun.

Mine was Flutterbye. And ironicly the first G3 I ever bought was Fluttershy. I've always had a thing for butterflies. I think I got Flutterbye for Christmas or birthday. I was like a toddler. Then came Wavy & Surfy sea ponies, then Sugarberry and Sweet Tooth, and etc., etc. . .

So Soft Cupcake, and then SS Ribbon. I never had any of the ponies before that. I remember being about 10, and seeing Starshine and Skydancer for the first time at a friend's house and going, Who are THEY???

Wow, lotsa posts since I last looked. :p O_O

Well, even though I have a horrible memory, I can still remember when I got Cupcake...

My grandma took me to Fred Meyers by where she lived, because she had to pick up something in the garden section. She gave me $16, and told me to go buy whatever I wanted with it. I've never spent $16 better. :D I trotted off to the toy section, and found a plush R2-D2 toy. I loved R2, he was awesome, so I grabbed the plush, and trotted off into the girls' section. This was pre-Barbie, so I didn't look at her, instead, I browsed the opposite shelf, and something caught my eye. (I was obsessed with horses at the time, still am, and pink) There was a pink, pony-like thing sitting there! I grabbed her, and looked at this blue one next to her. I considered getting Sugar Belle as well, but I got R2 and Cupcake. And then, I got Sugar Belle and Sundance as early Christmas presents a few months later that I picked out, only I had to wait until Christmas. -_- Ah, I used to play so many games with Cupcake, she was Queen Moonshadow's favorite princess, and she went on all the adventures, searching for her lost queen (because I only had Cupcake). Sadly, Sundance is the only one of those early three I have, Cupcake and Sugar Belle have been 'lost' by my parents, but I have all of their accessories. :( Ah well, maybe we'll find them in my garage some day... But still, I've got Sundance, and she's one of my favorite ponies. :)

My first pony was Cotton Candy. I was 3 years old and sitting in the shopping cart, and my mom parked it right along side the ponies. I grabbed Cotton Candy off the shelf and threw her in the cart without asking. My mom was kind enough to buy her for me. I was so excited! When I started collecting again, Baby Cotton Candy was my first purchase. I had wanted her for YEARS and I think I was more excited than when I was a child to get her.

Bowtie was my very first pony! My grandparents gave her to me for my 3rd birthday. They lived 10 hours away and my parents took me to visit them. I remember I was so surprised when I opened her and didn't think I'd like her, but she was the only toy I got. I remember sitting on the hotel bed and my big sister was showing me how to brush her hair and helping me tie the ribbon into her tail.

Mine was Trickles, but I have no recollection of how I got her back then. I think she was a christmas present.

I always thought that my first pony was Baby Crumpet, but when I started scrapbooking I saw the picture of me holding Crumpet up.. and realized that I had Bangles in my other hand! So I guess it was a tie, lol.

Cotton Candy in 1984 when I was 8. I got her as a reward for being good for a week, lol.

My first Ponies were passed down to me from some cousins who were too old to play with them anymore. If I remember correctly two of them were Applejack and Sundance. 97% of my childhood Ponies are gone now.

My first G3 (and the Pony that started my proper collection) was Strawberry Swirl.
I bought her online from Toys 'R' Us. They charged me excessive shipping, took a good few days to ship and they just threw her into one of those plastic bag things with no protection. :x Her box was busted open and the postie left her on our doorstep in direct sunlight!
The poor lass has recovered since then and has started a therapy service for traumatized Ponies. :D

Mine was FF Butterscotch in 1985 when I was 5. I don't remember if I got her for Christmas or Birthday. I still have her though! Butterscotch, Posey, Sundance and Confetti all managed to stay with me all these years.
