Who is the quintessential MLP?

Whether it be Ponyville where friendship, ice cream, and parties go hand-in-hand, or Dream Valley where the grass is always green, and the ponies are always having fun or saving other creatures, you'll probably have in mind a few ponies that just mean everything to MLP and represent everything about My Little Pony...


For you, who is that pony? The perfect pony that completely stands for what My Little Pony is all about, not just to you, but for everyone?

Hasbro seems to think it's Cotton Candy or Pinkie Pie, but somehow the two all-pink ponies don't do it for me, they just don't represent everything MLP to me. Although now more than ever I can see why Cotton Candy would be a good choice since Bonnie herself designed her (well, except for the pink parts :hysterical:) .

For me, it's a hard decision.

SS Twilight does a pretty good job, but she's not quite the one for me...although she's soft, fuzzy, pink and purple.

Posey is pretty good... and she's from year 3, so that's a bonus for her... but I'm still searching, even though she has the prettiest pink hair around, and has cute little flowers on her.

Moondancer runs a hard bargain, but somehow it doesn't feel quite right to me.

It's possibly Sundance, but also not exactly her.

Firefly does a terrific job! I think my choice for the quintessential MLP is Firefly!

G1 its Posey for me and G3 (don't hate me) it is Pinkie Pie. She has a great spirit and helps her friends. She's just a lot of fun period. There is not a thing wrong with pink. :) And I like purple, blue, green, yellow, black, and on and on and on with pony colors.

:squid: Yeah, Firefly just really means MLP to me. She's pink, has a glittery symbol, is courageous and friendly all at the same time.




Mia- you're right, there's not a think wrong with pink, I love it myself. In fact, I'd say Rarity is a pretty good G3 rep- but Pinkie Pie is really great in all the movies too, she really is a great pony rep too.
 
I think it's Baby Lickety Split because she feels sad and lonely for being teased, but then the other ponies feel bad about it like they were too harsh. That's an instance of making up for bad deeds, which is a good MLP thing.

This is a good thread claire....i think you have it right with firefly...I can't think of another...other than cotton candy....
 
I'm going to branch out from the crowd here and nominate....

To me, she is My Little Pony. She's a unicorn, has the glittery symbol, the raised-leg pose which always seemed indicative of the line even when I was a child, and she simply has a regal look to her. When I think of MLP, she springs to mind.
 
For me it is Bluebelle. Her and the other 6 originals. They are what I first think of when I think MLP. Probably because they are what started it all, and the first ones that I had. Plus, I mean, look at this year's fair logo. It was that CP pose. :)
 
For me whenever I think of MLP I always think of Gusty.XD I am not sure why she sticks out so much to me,but I think it has to do with the fact that when I was younger I always wanted her and now as an adult I still want to own her.:blush:
 
I was thinking "Firefly" as well. I found some childhood photos of me with Firefly :)
 
Cotton Candy gets my vote for this one. Mostly because she is pink and also one of the original 6. But Sundance comes to mind as well.
 
It's Firefly. Definately.

For me its gotta be Applejack or Bow Tie, they are the first two I think of for sure - after them its the original 6, then I'd move onto the pegs and unis.
 
I have to agree with the other members who have said the original collector 6.

But, I have to say Megan and Sundance are a CLOSE second.
 
That is a real brain racker of a question. I would have to choose Peachy. I think because she is what MLP stemmed from with the My Pretty Pony line.
 
I was scrolling down, thinking, Its Firefly for sure!! And there she was! Firefly's so helpful and friendly, not to mention adventurous and brave. Truly the quintessential MLP!
