Here's a little game I call "You Know You're Obsessed When..."

Just post a little funny anecdote that only pony collectors could relate to.

Here's mine, I came upon this ad today:

pinkiepiephone.jpg

I totally thought that pink one to the right was a Pinkie Pie phone, and if it were, I'd probably buy it too! I'm in the market for a new phone anyway.

What's your story?

hahaha!!! LOVE this topic

I went to the dentist the other day. the hygenist was a girl about my age.
so i purposely exposed an MLP (baby quackers) in the top of my purse. I had her in there from picking her up from the post office. I knew she would ask me about it and then she would tell me about hers and possibly offer to sell me hers.
it worked!!! well at least it sparked teh conversation. turns out her mom got rid of them when she left for college :(

ahahahahhhhaaaaa!!!!!
pathetic huh?

hahahaha, i thought, "PINKIE PIE PHONE!!" when i saw that too...so sad!

i had a pony moment just last night, my mom bought a new wallet...it's yellow, with blue and orange spots all over it. when she showed it to me, i said "BUBBLES! 'cept those orange spots are all WRONG..." lol...she looked at me like i'd lost my mind...hahaha

Hilarious story, receleste! I'd never have thought to do that, but now I have to steal your plan and try that! Hehe *rubs hands together*

Barbgirl!!! Totally happy to see you here! Of course you thought of Bubbles! I would probably have done the same! Are we going to have a christmas get-together this year? I don't think Beth can do it, and I just got married so my house is still a nightmare, what about your new place? /off topic

:276:

When I go in restaurants I often show my ponies to the waitresses because I know a lot of them are Pony age.

Also, that definitely looks like a Pinkie Pie phone. balloons symbol and all....

when you are searching for something and automaticly write "my little pony...."
and you go crazy everytime the mailman comes with the mail
or when they recognize you at the post office and give you weird looks because you are down there everyother day picking up a huge bunch of packages or just a rediciously huge one XD

hehe that happenes to me too. We recently moved and at our old PO it was a the big one in town and they didn't see anything wrong with somebody picking up like an armful of international parcels (many with pony stickers on them!) at a time. They used to have them all stacked up neatly waiting for me to collect them.

The new PO is a small suburban one and they are really nosy and give me these looks like I'm up to no good because I get so many packages. Luckily one of the ladies who drives the mail truck is super nice and tries really hard to make stuff fit into the letter box or hides them and leaves a note where she put them so that saves going to the PO a bit.

You know you're obsessed when.....you constantly call your daughter by pony names. From the time I was pregnant my son would call her Pinkie Pie, because he just knew in his heart I was having a girl (and that was before I even started thinking about collecting ponies). I call her names like Sweetie Belle, Baby Blossom, sometimes I even call her Tootsie Tails.

Ohhhh I love this topic and I have a few too!

First, at the store I've made the mistake of calling strawberries 'Sugarberries'

I've also used pony words instead of curse words like "How the Skippity-Doo did that happen? It's very common with me :)

If it's a nice day, I've said "It's Merryweather today" and then laughed at myself

And there are more but those are the ones I could immediately remember haha!

Or better yet, you could call them "Sweetberries". They are berries and they are sweet so it would perfectly fit and no one would know.

haha
my local post office is kinda annoyed with me :p i get packages all the time, and the also give me these "you're up to no good" looks  but they are really sweet too ^_^ i bet they are wondering what "plastic figure" and "used toy" are :p maybe i should tell them.

once i had to pay about $120 (!!!) to get a package out and they lady was like "eh, what's in there?" and i start babbling away about mummy charms, petites and those rare bookmarks XD she always laughs at me when i come there after that

You see pony names everywhere. On the trip down to San Antonio, there was a camper trailer on the road and as we passed it, the name on it said DAYBREAK! We were driving through town somewhere and there was Truly Road.

OR you see street names and think that THAT would make an awesome pony name. There's one near us that's called Midnight Moon. So pretty! :catmoon:

Last night I had a dream that I had a few TP members in my house and I asked them if they wanted to come upstairs to look at the "Pony Room". Oh my goodness...I really do think I'm obsessed.

But I'm LOVIN IT!!!! :skull1:

when the guy at the post office knows you by name and asks how many ponies you are shipping today? or just sighs when you come in carrying a stylin' rarity and try to shove her in post bags???
or when your friends just sigh when you "start talking about ponies again" although one of my friends does think its cool...

you know it when your boyfriend starts recognizing the ponies you are babbling about :D

Heh...you're right. My husband knows of Anchors Away because we've picked her up several times through craigslist. And weirdly enough, he knows of Rapunzel because he said he cousin had her when they were little. He remembers the long hair.

Wel I've just proven I'm obssessed :D

I found an auction ending today for the last two bushwoolies I need but it ended during my lunch hour and I had to go to town. So I snuck out to lunch early then raced back to the office checking the time the whole way cursing the stupid long line I got stuck in.

Got back just in time and won them *does little bushwoolie happy dance* Oh and I'm supposed to be banned from buying internationally because of the dollar too I'm dreading seeing how much Paypal takes out of my account for them :-(

whoops is there a 12 step program for pony addicts I think I need to go there . . .

but hey look at my new little cuties . . .

Soo cute! Princess Starburst and Serena will be happy. :)

My post office people used to see me coming and ask "more ponies?" hehe.

Nice bushwoolies, Princess Locket! *grabs them and runs*

OMG! I had to look twice as well when I first saw that phone...LOL And I don't even like Pinkie Pie that much... :p

You know you're obsessed when you want to head to the toy store after work to see if they have the new winter ponies before going to pick up your kid from Grandpa's house.

You know you're obsessed when ponies are on sale and you can't resist buying the older ones (non core 7) just because they are there.

You know you're obsessed when you buy ponies at the thrift store and pretend they are for your daughter.

You know you're obsessed when you pull up ebay and just about half of every posting you find a new pony to add to your want list.

You know you're obsessed when you go crazy searching the house for a princess ribbon that you lost (true story, still MIA).
