Aww that’s so sweet, thank you :xmashug: You and your family must all have wonderful hearts too then!
Do you have a lot of animals around the house since you take them in or do you find them homes?
An army is three or more of the same pony. Here's a thread we started with pictures.Sorry for the late reply to this! Would you please explain what an 'army pony' is? I looked at the abbreviations and pony lingo page but didn't see it. Googling it just brings up a bunch of cool artwork and customized ponies.
Butterscotch is my favorite so I figured I should probably learn what the term means. Thank you!
And then there's G4, which just loved bundling the Mane Six into everything. An army is three or more of the same pony. Here's a thread we started with pictures.
Show off your armies!
I'm sure there's a thread like this somewhere, but I want to start a fresh one  Do you have a legendary army? (@cannibalcow comes to mind :CJ:) Or is yours just starting out? Whether your army has 3 ponies or 3000, share pics! I don't have an army myself. I used to have an accidental...www.mlptp.net
Sometimes, when you have a favorite, it's just too hard to part with one that has any little difference in color, hair, pose, etc.
Oh my goodness it was ridiculous. Hasbro did that with the core 7 at the end of G3 as well. I wanted different ponies, dang it!!! When G4 started out they ponies that weren't just the Mane 6 - What happened?! I guess Hasbro quickly got lazy and decided to just produce infinitillion versions of the mane 6.And then there's G4, which just loved bundling the Mane Six into everything.
I was the kind of kid who was like “I can only have one [name]. There can’t be two [name]” so when Hasbro started releasing multiples, all I wanted was a “normal” Rainbow Dash. Well, you could still get the non-Mane 6 ponies at least for a while. But some of them were only available in multipacks that also include the Mane Six. And playsets and vehicles tended to have one of the Mane 6 bundled in or as the sole pony, so if you wanted the playset you got saddled with a duplicate then too!Oh my goodness it was ridiculous. Wow that’s a lot of animals! That’s pretty awesome of you to help them all and take them in if you can’t get them adoptedWe do have a lot of animals here. Any critter that comes through that isn't adoptable because they're too old, ill, frightened or unsociable will live with us for the rest of their lives. Young, healthy, happy animals we find new homes for. I also occasionally rehabilitate wildlife, so any undomesticated animal that comes through I get healthy then release here on the farm. Our land butts up to 6000 acres of National Grasslands with a beautiful lake, rarely used by anyone but locals, so wildlife can thrive here. It's hard work, but we love what we do.
I honestly don't know exactly how many animals are here, the numbers are always in flux as they come and go. We have potbellied pigs, ponies, goats, a horse, a llama, one ornery goose, an army of rabbits, way too many cats, dogs, mice, hamsters, a cockatiel, guinea pigs, a herd of turtles (box turtles, musk turtles and a 3 legged red ear slider). And Action Hank!
Maybe you could curl their hair in pairs, that way they have a friend sitting there with themHearing how people consider their ponies as living beings in some way, talk to them, etc. is a bit reassuring for me I don't talk to mine but I do feel bad when I take them away from the collection. When I curl their hair I leave them on my dresser overnight to dry, but I don't want to keep them off the shelves for much longer than that because some part of me is worried that they'll get lonely away from the herd. I don't want to keep them from their friends!
I love reading about everyone's pony philosophies in this thread. Lots of interesting discussion
That is the sweetest thing I have ever heardMaybe you could curl their hair in pairs, that way they have a friend sitting there with them

And it sounds like the ones you release have a great place to live too
Oh my gosh that is amazing She actually knocked on the door to ask for food too? Haha that’s one smart raccoonFor years one of the raccoons I raised would beat on the front door if the cat food bowl was empty. She'd bring her boyfriends up to show them off, and when she had babies, she'd leave them on the porch for safety while she went off to do her thing. Finally she died of old age, but her babies and grandbabies are still here. I love what I do. I'm very lucky.

I also forgot to mention that I've been carrying one around with me everyday, but I have to swap them out for a different one everyday or they'll get jealous and stab me with a screwdriver.
I don't carry ponies from my entire collection but from a smaller group of special ponies.
It's the foofoo zoo! Your could turn the place into a petting zoo and have volunteers come and help you and hank out with the mucking of the stalls! We do have a lot of animals here.
