Action Hank's Crappy Art Thread

Also I've finally gone back to working on that animation I was making since I've finally caught up on other stuff enough to feel like I could go back to it. And I still have no idea what I'm gonna do with it.

The problem is that Flash outputs SWF which no longer supported and I've got to figure out a way to make it ether a MP4 or AVI, and I've got an idea on how to do it but the video will lose the sounds, but I guess I could work around that.
 
I FINALLY FIGURE IT OUT!

It turns out if you smack Flash hard enough you can get it to make AVIs and they even keep their sound, it's just a massive pain to get it to work because of how finicky it is to get it to look and sound right and not come out pixely and staticy.

Will probably still need to get a video editing program at some point in the future.


As for the genre of the game it's a Multiplayer First Person Shooter.
 
Congratulations you guessed the thing and it's Team Fortress 2, it was chosen because of the massive amount of voice lines for each character and because I don't what to use my own voice and I have no money to higher someone to do them. Now this doesn't mean it'll be the only game I'll use it just will be the main source.


Also do the characters in Fortnite even talk?
 
Aha! Hoorah for getting it right! And your reasoning make complete sense. Not to mention it can be difficult to voice multiple characters, and there's nonsense with audio quality as well.

Ah, good point. I haven't ever played Fortnite so I'm not really sure. I haven't played TF2 either but I have seen a lot of people using it for animations.

I've always wanted to be a voice actor, Im told by everyone that I have the talent :)

Yes there is voice acting in fortnite, it was just recently added to improve story progression in the 1v100 battle royal.
On a side note, The next season of fortnite is starting soon which is super exciting!

I might have been inspired to use that TF2 stuff because of those animations, also because I've archived several thousand of those videos.

I was also told something like that at a few points, but I don't have the facilities to do any kinds of sound recording, unless I do it on reel to reel which would probably produce professional quality sound but I have no way to put it on the computer.
 
I forgot to mention that the only down side I've found in making these animations AVIs is that Celestia and Luna's hair no longer wiggles, besides that the SWF and AVI versions are the same.


Also I remembered I said I was gonna show WIP stuff but haven't in a while so here's a random screenshot, this is the same video the other WIP screenshots came from, I wonder if anyone can guess what's happening?

Hello again I haven't worked on the animation at all as I've been procrastinating the crap out of it and instead have been downloading all the voice lines from TF2 then immediately did the same thing with Portal 1 and 2 and since that's done now I've set my sights on Half-Life but that's not gonna happen yet.


Also I've noticed a theme and it apparently involves Valve games, apparently future animations will probably have Team Fortress 2, Portal 1&2, and Left 4 Dead 1&2 voices and probably sound effects from all of those and Half-Life.
 
Holy crap, it turns out I wasted a few weeks of work downloading all those voice lines as I found someone had uploaded all of it in one file on GitHub, glad to have all the stuff but man it feels like a wasted a bunch of time.

To bad three won't download but I can still get the stuff from them it'll just take way longer, but it's better than nothing.
 
Well I've been told that threads older than 6 months are to be locked and archived for some reason so I guess we're done here.

I'll make thread as soon as I have something new, probably won't be any time soon because I'm mostly working on behind the scenes stuff.
 
*opens door slightly and looks around and notices that everything is still in its proper place*

Well since this hasn't been locked or archived like I was told it would be I guess I'll just keep using this one rather than screw around making a new one.


Anyway I've finally finished downloading all the sound effects for TF2 and Portal 2 and that means I can finally get to animating the horrible garbage I wanted to and it'll have the proper sounds, but before that I have to finish the one I was already working on which I haven't worked on at all so here comes the part where I desperately try to remember where I was going with it, but at least I did something with that time related to the project!

But I won't be doing that immediately as between all sound downloading I've been downloading all kinds of crap off Youtube like I have been for quite a while even though it has nothing to do with any of this but I have over 30,000 videos to show for it, and I'm still slowly but surly going through and updating all 613 channels with whatever videos they produced while I was doing other crap. So I'm gonna be woking on that for a little bit longer before I go back to trying to animate some magical pony themed garbage!

Turns out this is a lie as the folders containing all that previously downloaded stuff wouldn't work so I would have had to of downloaded all that crap individually anyway so it just saved a little time because I had already done it.

I want Mario, Luigi, Wendy O. Koopa, and some Koopa Paratroopas to fall out of those pipes! In another thread you said you "can't draw living things." It made me think of X-Men "I can control flame, but I can't make it." LOL. Anyway, I love when people do things with the FIM cartoon. Looking forward to the finished product. GREAT job!
