G5 announced with new cast for 2021

:blink: “All new computer animated movie” what does that even mean? They’ve not 100% traditionally animated pony since MLP Tales. 99% of all animation is computer animated now so this makes zero sense. I think what this article is trying to say is they’re doing a “3D” animated movie much like Pixar.

I’m excited to have some kind of official news re: gen5 but show us what we want to see! New toys!!!! None of this Pony Life but actual G5. Ugh. I’m dying here.

Think of the new care bears show vs the old. They probably mean "all computer animated". I'm a little worried. o_O

Right? I don't think I like the sound of that either. A low budget Paw Patrol comes to mind. Blecky!

Eww. I hate that you just said that.

I have a gut feeling it’s going to be like the Hello Pinkie Pie shorts that they’ve been posting. I’ve seen a lot of improvements on the rigging on the animation and suspect if they’re testing the waters with it.

Ha ha no need for apologies, you're probably not wrong or too far off from the truth to be honest. It is a cheaper way for them to create content to sell toys, let be real after all, Hasbro is a toy company and MLP shows were made to sell a toy. Being that Hasbro is aware of their go and new adult collectors I hope they will take that into account when producing the G5 line. But I don't have a lot of hope on that, hopefully in 6-8 months from now I will be eating these words and not saying the ol' I knew it line. :confused:

Do you think you'll be able to watch the new show without knowledge of Friendship is Magic? Since it says new characters & cast? I want to watch all the shows/movies over again in chronological order. Wouldn't mind skipping that last series for the new one, temporarily.

I have not seen the new Thunder Cats and this makes me want to avoid it now. :/
