G5 G5 Chatter

Keep in mind that we found out Opaline was going to have a brushable before pics of her were ever revealed all because WalMart revealed the name of her toy early. I wouldn't at all be surprised if this is a similar case.

Haven might, and she'd look lovely with those periwinkle curls. It just seems to me there was a typo on Jazz.

Otoh, I've seen typos on other toys due to come out that sadly never did.

Oh, the Jazz listing is for sure a mistake. I'm not sure what goes on, on the other end with WalMart's online listings, but it seems to me that while either relisting or revising Jazz's listing, they accidentally copied over the name for Haven's toy (presuming that there will be one, of course). I would love to see a Haven brushable. I could imagine her with fuzzy wings like that singing Pipp toy. Oh! Speaking of...

I recently stumbled across the portfolio of the woman who designed the box art for that Pipp toy. On the page is a picture of a prototype of the toy, back when Pipp still had her demon-red eyes. Despite the eye color, the face looks cuter here imo. The photo on her phone (?) is also different. It looks like concept art of an earlier Pipp design, back when she still had some gold on her wings (ex. 1, 2), but I don't think I've seen that particular pic before.

G5 on stage! I had a theatre magazine come through the door and this is one of the shows.

I wonder what costumes they’d use? They probably wouldn’t go back to the kind like G3 had so I wonder if they’re going to use these ones that has been used for promo?

I must say, the heads are pretty good and they have some of the same characters listed there. It makes more sense having anthro costumes for stage for the sake of the performers. Great to see Hitch included!

I’m not sure if I have actually seen those G4 ones before… time to cry

EDIT: I wanted to see if there was any G5 performances already about and I did not know China did one but with better costumes… wow. They were on to something there

Those ones from China almost just look like giant pony plush :) not too bad, they probably cause a lot less nightmares

WOW!!! Would you mind if I put this info / these pics on my pony blog? I'm so intrigued!
 
We sell the toys at the store I work at. The plastic free packaging would be a great idea in theory, but we throw out so many toys (not just mlp) because some parents let their kids play with them, and when they break stuff, they just leave the store quietly. It also makes just stealing stuff out of the box so much easier. Like I'm sorry, but at that point just make it a full cardboard box, like most toy manufacturers. It's so frustrating to see the 3rd broken off pony limb, or elf ear, or car door on the floor, in the middle of another isle. Especially because we can't just glue it back together and donate it to charity, or let an employee take it home to their kids. It has to go back to the store chain's distribution center to be ,,properly disposed of". Which basically just means, that it's going to a landfill.

Sorry, for the rant, but I've just had to throw a big Sunny playset out the beginning of this week.
 
We haven't gotten news of any new toys since Misty was announced.

I can confirm that stage show indeed does use the same outfits! I saw a snippet of the show in French on YouTube. Since it was someone’s own recording (seemed to be screen recorded from an Instragram story) I’m not sure if it would be right to link it here but the video was called “hasbro stars live on stage 2023”, all lowercase letters
