So, the last 2 years, the MLP fair in Tampa has been cancelled. This year they are having it, and I just bought a ticket. I have planned my whole vacation around this event. Is anyone else going? I hear the exclusive pony they are including with admission is the one they commissioned for 2020 and never got to use.

There is also one in Cleveland, OH, though it doesn't look like admission price includes an exclusive pony, as Tampa's does. I haven't decided whether I will attend that one, though it is a lot closer to where I live.

Take lots of pictures! I’m never going to make it to one, but I just love to see everything. :3

I’m going to be there! I have a cousin in Tampa so it was a great excuse to visit and see his new baby.

Lol! I have a cousin in Tampa, too! She is too old for new babies, but we are going to dinner after the con!

I hope to see you there. Once I know which pony shirt I'm wearing, I'll let you know and we can keep an eye out for each other. :)

i will definitely try to go! i don't know if i'll be taking much home other than pictures, though

That sounds like so much fun!! Best of luck! Theres never any MLP fairs near me, and Tampa would be a several day drive for me, I couldnt leave my cats that long and Id rather not risk covid. Maybe one day I'll be able to attend one if I ever get lucky enough to get one closer. From the looks of it I dont think weve gotten anything close to a pony fair since 2009 and I didnt realize they were a thing back then.

Oh yay! I hope you get to come! I’d love to see you!

Also, I would really like to come to the MD Pony Meet someday!
It's always wonderful to see you, Harmony!! <3 And yes, please do!

I will be making every effort to be THERE. ;)
But then I'm just gonna wanna hang out with you the whole time! ;)

I would love to come and meet everyone someday… I think we know it’s doubtful, though. Meanwhile, I love all the stories and pictures!

Someday I hope there’s one in New England so I can join you all :) right now they’re all a bit far

Does anyone know of any pony fairs/meets/etc in the east coast area higher up than Florida? I figured it would be worth a shot asking. I can never find anything online for my area.
I hope its okay to ask this here, if it needs its own thread my apologies! ^^'

I’m going to Tampa! I haven’t been to a Fair since 2009. I did go to PFF this last November and I went to the Oklahoma Meet this last weekend.

How was the Oklahoma show? Do they include a convention-exclusive pony in their show as well? And, if you have been to it before, do you know whether it is the same one Hasbro provides for Tampa, or a different one?

Each convention is responsible for having their own exclusive items produced, as conventions and meets are not affiliated with each other. They are all independent endeavors. ;) Also, Hasbro is no longer an official affiliate of the MLP Fair (or any current pony-specific conventions) nor do they provide exclusives.

Wow! Who produces the con ponies, then? Basic Fun? Weird to think Hasbro is not involved after all this time....

Also, I sent you an email about the MD meet, as that would be much closer to me than Tampa! Lol!

Not Basic Fun, that much I know. I do not know what company is contracted to produce modern exclusive items. To my understanding, Hasbro's involvement in the MLP Fair came with a lot of complications and difficulties, which the staff is able to host the event much more easily without having. The MLP Fair is the only convention Hasbro ever collaborated with in terms of pony conventions. Special guests who worked for Hasbro will still be in attendance, though.
