Income tax returns can drive up prices for US based auctions. And there seems to be a slump right before Christmas when people are spending on others gifts (versus our collections).

my rule of munchy is that she is not worth over $100

and i know its possible to get her for that or less cause i have like 12

Honestly! One of my favorite things about pony collecting is that aside from Nirvana, ponies are rarely (accurately/fairly) valued at >100. Collector hobbies can get so so expensive, it's nice collecting something where most items are relatively affordable.

I also collect games and some music. Disc games without their case and manual? For over $50? Nope!
The music stuff I've probably just lost my mind on since I can still justify buying some limited editions...

Ebay ranges are silly on ponies. There's one on there now for 1k that says "verified by noted collector" in the title if anyone wants something to laugh at. I just want to know who this supposed noted collector is and if they side hustled someone into paying for their expertise. LOL

Gosh I know, it's such a struggle!!!! So many games from my childhood I'd like to replay but NOT FOR THAT KIND OF $$$$! I collect dolls as well and don't even get me STARTED with that mess -_-; at this point by "collect dolls" I just mean I buy ones off shelves occasionally and stare longingly at bonkers secondhand listings on eBay and Facebook LOL

I ADORE Minty, I really do. She’s created a permanent little home in my heart. However I have to agree. I feel this way mostly when trying to find Gen 3 fan art or fan created items to purchase, it’s always Minty and very occasionally Star Catcher. Two ponies I love with every essence of my being, but it would be nice if other Gen 3 ponies got the love as well!
One of my faves is Wysteria, who like Minty got her own special, songs, you name it! Even has the same VA! I’d love to see her hyped up more!
But yes, Minty is the poster child of Gen 3 and that’s fine, but Gen 3 is more than just Minty!

i agree! i can´t help liking her design though, I really do wish skywishes had more screentime though,
 
I think all the G3.5 toys are very ugly, their proportions are horrendous and the sweetie belle looks like a dolphin lol

and Hasbro did not try at all when making G4 toys, the re-used a lot of G3 Ponyville accesories (They used a mermaid set cake for the wedding castle, like we wouldn't notice). They mixed their hair with Polypropylene and most lines are the main six all over and over again with slight differences. Some toys are incredibly innacurate to their cartoon version and let's not start with the Equestria Girls dolls

while the g3.5 is a ice cold take at best ( most of everyone agrees ) the g4 one is definitely a hard truth some people dont like accepting LOL even i recognize the line was definitely progressively getting worse and i LOOOVE G4

anyways my g3.5 hot take is they can be cute in the angle they're supposed to be posed in and i do have a soft spot for those disasters and personally i think the g3.5 figurines ESPECIALLY are amazing to have and i love receiving them they have such cute poses even if some consider them "too humanlike" like i have a starsong figurine of her blowing her hair out.... truly an icon in her era
 
I adore g3.5 they’re adorable :smile: most people hate them though. I think stylization can be fun and the big heads, eyes and hooves make them super adorable, kinda like “chibis” but horses
 
I don't like the ponies introduced in the later years of G1. Years 3-6 were the sweet spot. As the 80s drew to a close the ponies got less cute and the gimmicks were too...gimmicky. Sparkle Ponies, Precious Pockets, Glow N Show, Ballerina, Dance N Prance, etc.

I kind of wish ponies from years 1 and 2 got rereleases in new poses with new designs. I don't really care for the OG collectors pose ponies, they're kind of drab?
