Some wonderful boxes so far. This is my favourite time of the swap. The boxes have been mailed and I can relax and enjoy seeing them opened.

The only gifts I get at holidays are from the swaps, so it's a big deal for me.

Look at all these goodies!


Let’s talk about this candy. CactusFlower went all out! Delicious Nestle KitKats (oops, they’re gone already!), Andes, dark chocolate cranberries, and Swiss chocolate, and dark chocolate almonds which are awesome on their own but then I see ‘coconut’?! And hot chocolate and strawberry licorice too! This stash will be lucky to survive the weekend.

Also included are some cute hair clip antlers, cozy socks, and a light up light bulb necklace to get me in the Christmas spirit. We’ve got dress up days at work next week so I’ll be using those soon.

I got some fun stickers and adorable snowflake stickers for the window! They’re so pretty! And a classy acrylic reindeer for my fireplace mantle.
And look at those ornaments! The purple pony definitely gives you MLP vibes.

I also got a lovely kitchen towel and pot holder which is nice because I’m still using my spring ones now. And the kitties didn’t get left out of the holiday fun with some treats and a spiffy Santa collar. Here’s two of them modeling it.


And last but not least, the ponies! Three!
CJ, Lickety Split, and Peppermint Crunch (she still smells!). They are all so lovely!

The cats really enjoy their toys and treats! One of them is presently stalking with a strawberry mouse in his mouth, meowing- happily showing it off!


The beddy bye eyes! Gosh the Santa hat on Frosting is too adorable!! These three girls competed my BBE series! Thank you!!


I love the gnomes and holiday decor, they all fit perfectly with my theme! The socks! Of course the hair! I don’t have this color yet either!

The little Skybreeze custom was a total surprise and I love her so much!! As soon as I’m no longer sick and can sit up for more than a few minutes at a time without being dizzy I will take more pictures of her. Did you by chance use water transfer paper to do her cutie mark?? Inquiring minds need to know.


I’ve already used the Harry Potter things to make some fun fudge and the Pinkie pin has been added to my pin board. Fred is loving the blanket to sleep on at night since it’s gotten rather cold here lately.

Also, realizing that I am a bit of a hypocrite, I will explain why I haven't posted my brag yet: toddler. My kiddo got into my box and secreted away some items, and I have not yet gathered everything back altogether. I know that it doesn't fit the "rule" but I would like to post a partial brag because Nixie is home sick and our house is torn up and things are nutty and if I don't post something soon, I might not post at all. So, I will work on getting it together because @LadySidal spoiled me, and I want to be appreciative. I am just also a wreck of a human being.

I know you don't want to hear the sob story, but Lynnix is (low-level, but crankily home) sick and our basement is so torn up and my house is NUTS, so I am sorry for this being both late and incomplete.

Alright, this is as close to "everything" as I can get right this second. There are two cute socks, a hair tie, a cat ball, and a Hello Kitty bag missing from this photo. The socks because Lynnix was wearing them on their hands, the hair tie because Lynnix was playing with it (I have extremely short hair, and so does my wife, so it will likely be a cat/kid toy), the ball because the cat was playing with it WITH Lynnix, and the Hello Kitty bag because Gwenn squeed and took it with them before I got a picture.

LOOK AT THAT CARD. It is so pretty and will now go back to my fridge before Lynnix steals it.




Now, some individual commentary:

I asked for these because when my grandparents were alive, they were a season staple. There was never a year without them. Not receiving them as a gift was honestly gonna break my heart. I'm so grateful to have them.



TEA - lots of tea! A snowman craft for Nixie (I am hoping to do it today depending on how they feel. It's been tough since we came back from vacation), sour gummies (WITHOUT GELATIN! SO COOL!), and some Cards Against Humanity (how did you know we have like 5 boxes of those?). There's also a retro makeup thingy, and some lovely stickers.


My kitties were not forgotten, and they appreciate that. There were two treat balls and this LARGE bag of dehydrated chicken. I'll post some kitty appreciation pics soon. You can see that they've already enjoyed some.


AS if that wasn't enough spoiling, OBSERVE! FIVE PONIES! I am so spoiled from @LadySidal. Silly Sunshine is still in box. Pretty Parasol is so lovely in person. Tall Tales is kinda goofy looking in person, but that's life I am still so happy to have her. Sunspot will join my army. AND THEN...


LOOK AT HER! She is one of the most lovely creatures IN THE WORLD. Her glitter is PERFECT! It's blue, silver, and lovely dark grey, and it is AMAZING!! I had to do a closeup under my Ottlite because she is now one of my favorite ponies EVER. She is so beautiful.


In short, thank you so much. I felt special and loved.

@Skybreeze, yep, that was me. Sorry, I’m not used to signing Daintress on physical paper cards. Lol! IRL I am just Brandy. . I’m so glad you enjoyed your box! I was especially nervous about the custom, as you had such specific notes about her. And I definitely used water transfer paper. I am the least artistic person ever and can barely draw a recognizable stick figure, so I did what had to be done. But I’m relieved it came out nice enough that you had to ask how it was done.

And now I get to post my own brag post and guys….GUYS!! My box came yesterday but I worked all day at my main job and then all evening at the family arcade and by the time I got home I was so exhausted … I just couldn’t open it right then and appreciate it properly.

I got up this morning and felt better, so with my iced coffee in hand and my husband beside me to laugh at my excitement, I sat down and opened the most fabulous box ever! I was so overwhelmed! It took me an hour and a half to open everything @darklys sent! All of it wrapped in adorable MLP paper! I had to keep taking breaks to sip my coffee and marvel over it all!

The first thing I pulled out was a gift bag and my dogs both went absolutely wacky over it. I scolded them and told them it wasn’t their present, but it WAS! They were overjoyed and of course both chew toys had to be opened immediately. This was perfect because then they left me alone and didn’t try to steal wrapping paper all morning. Lol!

Under that gift bag, though, there were just So. Many. Presents. And nearly every one of them was a pony in exactly the condition I prefer for my collection! And not just ponies either, but a camel and a giraffe! Daredevil and Buffy and Firefly pins! Wax Melts! Lush body wash! Loose tea in cute tins! A MLP change purse!

But the ponies: The first one I opened was Port a Bella. I had to pause. She is G3 so my husband was surprised I was so excited, but I explained that I haven’t even SEEN her for sale to be able to get her, and she was one of only a few G3s I really, really wanted! From there it just got more amazing. 2 G1 Baby Brother ponies and a Pineapple. And TWO baby Crumpets!! All of them in gorgeous shape! Medley and Skyflyer! Mail order Baby Milkyway! A shy pose Apple Jack, which finishes that set for me and a Pocket pony-WITH HER POCKET AND CHARM INTACT. Just amazing.

And then I opened a larger gift and it was THREE Starcatchers! So, now I do have an army!! Later I found there was also a 25th anniversary Starcatcher still in the original box!!! Also a VHS of the movie where I’m guessing Starcatcher was first introduced. I have to figure out how to watch that! And I’ll get a picture of all my Starcatchers together the next time I see the “show your army” thread. Lol!

I am just…super grateful and humbled by this present. @darklys - it is just amazing. I took a few photos but they don’t do justice to how lovely and perfect everything is. Thank you so much.

@Daintress The two tins are teas (that's why I sent the infuser mug). The Starcatcher one is one I designed myself using Adagio's system - it is an herbal with 0 caffeine. The flavors are honeybush vanilla, dewy cherry, and berry blues. I wanted Starcatcher colors. The Serenitea one is a favorite of mine from their fandom sets. It is moderate caffeine - mint, hazelnut, and gunpowder green. It's super important not to oversteep gunpoweder, but it is so good if you get it right (about 4 minutes @ 195 F).

Neither Crumpet was quite good enough to send, but I tried twice to get her for you, so I thought maybe you could do some doctoring to get a good one out of it. I'm glad that you like them!
Also, I think from your descriptions that you will love the smell of Sticky Dates ... not as sure about Olive Branch, but hopefully

The Star Catcher with the broken wings might be fun to customize, but I didn't have the time to mess with her - sorry!

I am so happy that you're pleased with your gifts. I really was worried that some weren't quite up to snuff on condition. You have one more coming from the Solstice Faerie too, so hang tight for that one
