...what do you think Hasbro has in store for 2007? At this point we know what the next wave of single ponies as well as the Easter exclusives. But what ever became of that survey that popped up after the MLP Fair? When do you think we'll begin to see anniversary editions? Now that's actually 2007, I think some speculation is in order!

The Toy Fair is fairly early on, isn't it? Maybe they'll unveil their plans there! In all honesty I'm not expecting a large amount in terms of 25th anniversary exclusives...but I can hope...either way, I'm excited. Are you?

I was wondering that too! :) Does anyone know what next years theme is? I was thinking that Hasbro has sort of killed the whole beach/party/princess themes, so maybe they might do something really different. I hope so anyway. :)

In the case of the anniversary ponies, I'd love to see Hasbro make a pony in one of the original G1 poses. Maybe that's just wishful thinking. :D But I can hope. :)

Wouldn't it be cool if their 25th Anniversary 'mascot'(for want of a better word) was a G3 Sea Pony and Shell? It just seems more "out there" than a regular pony. That's what I'd love anyway

Maybe outer space is the theme! Can you imagine a spaceship playset for the mini ponies? That'd be so neat! :D

For the 25th anniversary, I wish Hasbro would make new ceramic pony figures: singles and scenes. I'd like to see some non-pony figures too like Mr. Moochick with Habbit, Tirek, Scorpan, Catrina, Rep, and the Smooze! :)

I was thinking celebration, but that was 2003's theme, so it cant be that.

i thought 25th anniversary will be on 2008?

According to Dream Valley, Year 1 was 1982-1983. So, I think...this is the right year. How else would you explain that survey that popped up last year?

I hope they give some ponys with feathers, they wouldn't have to be boys just feathered....

well we know that for the first part of the year, at least, the theme is still "crystal princess." toy fair is sometime in february, so hopefully that will show us what the next theme will be (if it will change) and what they have in mind for later in the year.

as for any 25th anniversary ponies, i know what i do NOT want to see:
-boys
-sea ponies
-anything in a G1 mold
-anything that is a blatant ripoff of something done in G1.

i think some type of birthday-themed pony, like dazzle surprise, would be fine.

I was hoping they'd bring back the originals (Cotton Candy, Blossom, Minty..etc) for a limited time only. But that's only because I collect G1s and nothing else.

My vote is still the same

My vote is still the same for what I would like to see..
Seaponies, Baby Seaponies, Shells and Floats
Boys with hairy feet and Baby Boy
Family sets like the G1's had. Mommy, Daddy and Baby Pony

Woot, same here!

Actually, I thought the first set came out in '81?

I thought '81 was the year they introduced MPP, and then in '82 released the actual MLPs.

I could be wrong though.

The 25th anniversary is 2008, at least according to a hasbro rep. Also at the MLP convention we were told that the theme this year is something like dress up and celebrating being a little girl ^_~

I'd love to see a flying unicorn come out. Something totally new and not seen before.

(Well daaaaang, I was getting all excited about having the anniversary ponies come out this year.) Guess I'll have to change my signature. Harumph!

ok, i'm confused. the hooves on my 2003 ponies say ©2002, but i know when they released the G3s the first theme was "celebration" cause they were celebrating the 20th anniversary of ponies. i think it was in a press release on the official site or something.

Well, if Year 1 was 1982-1983, it sounds like the 25th anniversary would be 2007-2008. So I imagine that SOMETIME during the 2007-2008 period (could start anytime in 2007 or 2008), they might release some 25th anniversary stuff, that is, if they do release some. Maybe that might answer people's confusion over when the 25th anniversary is supposed to be? In that case, both 2007 and 2008 would be correct. If Hasbro wants to celebrate the 25th anniversary in 2008, that might be because they might be buying time to get their ideas together for the anniversary--after all, 2008 is still during the 2007-2008 time period.

I wonder if 25th anniversary items would be released near the end of 2007 for a 2008 celebration.

Does anyone know what MONTH MLPs were first released in 1982 (or 1983)? That might answer some of our questions too... If they were first released near the end of 1982 (like in November or December, for example), then the first year of MLP would have gone through most of 1983.

These are all guesses here.
