CONVENTION Pony Friends Forever in San Antonio Tx

I know of quite a few pony people, just not where I’m at lol and the ones I find the most are only g4 pony people, I’m a all round collector, so we’re a lil diff

There are so many collectors in Texas. I think you would just have to attend some of the smaller ones too. The one I went to was in a person’s house and there were only like ten of us, but it was nice. I forget who is who from FB to forums but pretty sure several members here went.

hopefully I can attend this one since it sounds like it will have more people. I attend conventions in my state with a friend, and we have cosplays to finish. You would think with the pandemic we would have worked on our cosplays a lot, but we kinda let them go since there seemed to be no point for it. If there is money and time between comic cons then I should go.

Are they g1 meets or g4? Or all gens?
And I’ve been looking for about four years and can’t seem to find anybody around me lol

I was gonna get to go to it last year but then that stupid covid thing happened, but I'm not sure if we'll get ot go to it this year or not.

Same here, but i just recently decided to go again :) i wasnt going to but i was like.... heck with it, ima try to go! and my boss actually let me have it off! so i was like, yay!

Lol I also thought that since there was no cons to go to for 2020 I would have so much extra time to work on future cosplay, and then never worked on it at all XD I guess we need a deadline to look forward to to get to work

I’ve actually only gone to Anime conventions, so no pony cosplays for me :smile:

But a lot of people cosplay as pokemon at those, so I imagine they’d dress as a pony in the same way. Either an outfit inspired by a pony, or have like ears, tail, horn, wings or whatever features that character has
 
Exactly, I guess I do need a deadline to e myself more motivated. I’ve never cosplayed at a pony get together and instead just cosplay at anime or comic conventions. Last year I was mostly Sally from NBC and did an entire body paint.

The one I have for this year is The Other Mother partly transformed (because I like messing with make up and paint), and I need to finish my Punk Rock version of Black Lady from Sailor Moon so I match my friend that goes with me.

I think for the pony stuff I’ll just wear my pony themed outfits unless I have time to make a pony inspired dress for it.

oh also the get together was all generations but mostly G1

I am so excited to attend the PFF convention, I bought 2 vendor tables:) Not looking forward to the 18 hr drive from IL, but really looking forward to seeing my friends again! I go by Katz Pony Shop since I help w the HQG1C project too. I'm really excited to hear about the special guests and the hotel is awesome...they had hubby a free breakfast lol. Even if we only have a couple hundred people come, we'll still have a blast:) It's probably more G1 focused but all Gens are welcome:)

:,( Now I really, really wish the dang borders would open up. I’m so sad I’m missing it again this year and it’s totally out of my control.

Ooh nice, I bet Sally turned out great! Is the other mother from Coraline? It sounds like it would be but I’m not sure. What cons have you gone to if you don’t mind me asking?

Yep yep! It’s the creepy button eyed mother from Coraline. I love that author’s books and the movie was so cute. I’ve only went to conventions in my state so far, and I live in Arkansas. I went to as many as possible before Covid so that year I attended like five or six? I haven’t done anything out of state before.

Oh wow, nice! I only ever go to one con a year cause they get pretty expensive lol (as in I spend way too much on awesome art and merch in addition to the ticket and travel prices) But that’s awesome that there are so many in your state, I’m in vermont and we only have one single con :cry: How ya gonna do the button eyes?

I’m so looking forward to it! I met you at the Vegas Fair in 2009. That was my last convention. Can’t wait to see everyone!
