I am incredibly tired of 'chase' toys and blind bags. Just put four of each toy in the darn case, stop making one 'rare' and hard to find. Especially since 'flippers' buy them all up to sell at hefty prices and leave none for me. SOB. WHY WON'T ANYONE THINK OF MEEEEE?

Ahem. Carry on...

I agree that it’s not really fair of people to buy them all just to resell, but sometimes it’s fun to try and find the special ones

Most of the flippers that seem to be near where I live work at the stores, which means you never have a chance to get these things as they're gone before they hit the shelves.
When I see toys on clearance, I will get a few to put in the donation bin (granted that they don't have a crushed box or something), but I couldn't imagine reselling it for profit. It just wouldn't feel right.

I don’t know if it’s been talked about before, but the G3.5 mermaid/merpony artwork is some of the prettiest and most underrated. I don’t know why some people hate them, they’re the cutest of the merpony sets ever released.

I totally agree!!! I adore the detail and shading on their tails and how their eye makeup looks like fins.

I also think that g3's art has the best hair, especially when drawn by Lyn Fletcher. No other generation can compare to the shine, curl, and bounce that hair in g3 art had.

This is pretty standard but I'm tired of seeing the same old Pinkie Pies for silly prices on eBay, even marked as "rare" (G3 and 4 alike), as if we don't have 20 of these on our shelves that we're trying to get rid of already! I don't even collect G4 but have somehow amassed quite the collection of Pinkies! :lolpony:
SAME! People think that just because something is old or not being made anymore that it is automatically worth a lot of money. That just tells me that the seller didn't do a simple search to determine what the figure is truly worth. Like, if they're going to sell something, I would think that they'd at least want to make it as accurate as it can be. Even if they don't know a lot about what ever it is, a quick Google search for "Pink my little pony with balloons" would do wonders.

I don't care about leaving brushables in their boxes. I want to be able to interact with them! That said, I'll leave any MIB/MOC ponies I see on ebay or something similar alone. Usually those are retired, so they'll make someone else happier. If I can reasonably expect to be able to walk into a physical store somewhere in the world and buy a pony, I'm going to unbox it.
On the flipside, I don't care enough for vinyl figures and plushies to take them out of the box. The plushies in particular seem like more hassle to maintain out of the box than it'd be worth!
Rapunzel's cutie mark is kinda ugly, imo. I see the appeal of her, I just can't find myself liking the pony.
The original G4 toys are honestly pretty good, imo! Definitely nowhere near the quality of the past generations, and I would like if they were bigger and had less wimpy hair, but they match the show's style well, and look good. But the later G4 toys and pony life toys? I am... really not a fan.
Earlier generations had amazing toys, but not so great shows. The reverse is true for G4.
G3 is the best generation, in my eyes. It's the one I grew up with, and I believe my first pony was Cherry Blossom! While I do love the chunkiness of the G1s, the elegance of the G2s, and G4's show, they just can't compare to the more stylised realistic G3s, plus they're a lot easier to find than some of their older cousins :p

I only have a few mic/mib and they’re all g4 or my favorite g3 super long hair ponies.

When G3 was still about in shops... I avoided baby ponies. I found them pretty weird looking and a bit ugly.

Then Baby Honolu-loo came and she was my only baby and I loved her so much (until she seemed to “wink” out and never came back :hmph: )

I only now have one baby and that is Mochanut who came with her sister Tira-Mi-Su because I needed more Pegasi (I only have Silver Glow as my other Pegasi only)

I am still warming up to baby ponies I think. I love Mochanut since her hair is so soft still

I really like how the back-legs of the g1s are a lot more angular. I quite like g3 ponies, but I like the legs of g1 ponies a lot better, because I think the g3 ponies legs seem a bit "marshmallowy" in appearance. G1 ponies had thick legs, but they didn't seem too large or rounded.

I also avoid all baby ponies. I don't think they're bad, but I like the size and proportions of adult ponies better.

Yes. Yes. Yes!!
Thirding this! My brothers and I always laughed at the part with the furry mildew, lol.

Not sure that this is an unpopular opinion, but... I personally think - G4 excepted, as I'm not real familiar with it - there are no bad pony designs. Even some of the more generic and /or plain ponies have nice color combinations, they're just outshone by more popular characters.
