Unpopular Pony Opinions

Blushie is in every way a boring G3 cliche'. She's pink/purple/blue, her name is dumb and her symbol is flowers.

I don't care. I love her. She's so beautiful! She's one of my favorite G3s. Plus, she's got kinduva sassy expression and pose.
G3 Rarity suffered the same problem; rainbow and pink unicorn with long hair, rainbow-heart symbol and glitter. She was literally “fantasy pony” cliche. Still love her in this day and age where another pony like her would roll eyes :p

I've become rather enamored with G3 Rarity myself lately. Just because something is cliche' doesn't mean its not beautiful or can't work.

I love the original Rarity best. She reminds me of all that great Lisa Frank unicorn art from the 80s. I think she's fab-boo.

I LOVE Blushie! I got her when I was little. I lost her when me and my friend did a trade for a couple months, and though I returned her pony, (Silver Lining) she lost mine. Luckily, I found her at a thrift store with nicer hair a few years later. Definitely a favorite memory wise.

Alright, here goes another unpopular G3 opinion: the wings on the pegasus are ridiculously tiny, even more so on Starsong’s mold. Heck, even the Breezies didn’t have this problem! Maybe if they were even slightly bigger on their back....
They should’ve looked like the wings we see on G3 art:

Oh, and Lily Lightly, while her gimmick is what someone would call “tacky”, she’s adorable! Her eyes are what BBEs should’ve looked like to make them less “creepy” (they’re still cute though!). Her dress still makes her look like a lobster pony :p

Oh yeah. Those wings wouldn't support a bumblebee. They're cute but functionality is non-existent on those babies!

I've recently come to realize that the secondary sticky glue that holds every fandom together is ceaseless whining. Even if people don't admit it. :satisfied:
So true lol

Upon hunting and finding good links, I’ve watched the rest of MLP:FiM and I am genuinely sad it’s over. I know a lot of my fellow 80’s babies don’t often agree with me. I have enjoyed the growth and continuity the show had. While season 9 (in my opinion) was kind of bland and seemed to do a lot of “brony pleasing” I am sad to see this era of MLP go. Just as I was when MLP Tales ended (the last series of MLP I loved as much).

Without spoilers for my fellow friends here who I know will be watching, I am (mostly) satisfied with how they ended it. I cried a lot in the last three episodes and had a couple (for real) laugh out loud moments and moments that made me super happy. I’ve already drawn up a lot of fan art for it but will wait until the finale actually airs before I post them. Anywhoot. I’m sad but excited to see what gen 5 has for us.

Sigh super glue would work better on whining. :p anyhow I m not an 80s baby thats all i will say on age.along with those dratted kids get off my lawn. I feel torn on FIM. I think like most series they have great start then go into a sea of red.
I also want to add all unpopular ponies are in my heard even my eyelash queens, bbe zombies, drink n wets (that are a great holiday choir at xmas try it) and even the the dance n prance girls they all have their places.

Okay, here's one that probably nobody will agree with, and I wouldn't even blame you if you felt strongly on the opposing side of this sentiment.

...Call it a guilty pleasure? But I. LOVED the Power Ponies. Both the episode, and the wave of 'Mane Six' variants inspired from it. And I was especially thrilled to see The Mane-iac in particular get so much representation in the toyline (especially in those SDCC Exclusives!), since I was very easily won over by her unabashedly 'toyetic' aesthetic, and that bombastic, pun-peddling personality. Who doesn't love a good ham?

I won't even argue that the episode itself didn't stick out like a sore thumb from the rest of the show, and maybe could have been done better in a lot of ways... But there's just something terribly endearing to what an absolute toy commercial it ultimately was, which for who-knows-the-reason really compelled me to appreciate it. And, 'Mane-iac Mayhem' herself, has enjoyed this very inexplicable place in my collection as a pet favorite ever since~

Hahaha! IDK if this information will be appreciated, or if, like me, it'll just make you angry at Hasbro for never having made toys with these designs, but there was a bonus issue of the MLP comic that revealed the "canon" designs of the original PPs! :D

I loved that episode! Epic! I have the whole brushable set since the bigger ones didn't come with spike. <3:oops:

I LOVED those recolor designs! And-- while I can forgive Hasbro somewhat, since I suppose with a little time and effort or commission money they could be done justice through fan-made customs, I'm especially sad we didn't get that Pony Humdrum. He was just adorable, and imo was the best part of the whole comic.

I've tempted myself with getting those bigger ones whenever I see them up on eBay-- but, yeah! I'm thoroughly happy with that variant wave of the Mane Six brushables as a unique twist to a lot of G4's 'business as usual', but it was The Mane-iac and Humdrum that were what really tied the whole thing together for me~

I love the Power Ponies! I started reading comics at four, so superheroes are part of my DNA. Add ponies and you have Instant foofoo Adoration!
IKR!! :satisfied:

And you know, I'll even go further to say. I even kinda feel like there's something inherently sort of great about My Little Ponies with a 'superhero' twist to them. Because if you ask me, one of the essential strengths of that genre is it's ability to invoke imagination and wonder through these mono-manically gimmicked characters in brightly colored outfits. which... Isn't a far cry from MLP itself, if you ask me!

And-- that being said, too? Those SDCC ponies (sadly, without official names) from 2007 and 2009, are MAJOR grails of mine. The "original" Power Ponies themselves, one could even say!

I'd love to get my grubby paws on them as well. Sadly, being super cheap, it ain't likely unless I find them in The Wild and with my luck, that'll be a big NOOOOOOO. I have to be cheap though, because besides Ponies, I buy lots of comics, beads and tarot decks, so I gotta spread the cash around. Oh and horror movies. I buy alotta movies.

This all reminds me that I still need to get the little Funko blind bag of Fluttershy in her superhero spandex. She's all I'm missing...

Her and a few of mah brain cells.

I love that hulky fluttershy blind bag! She's elusive. I only have the set because I caught them at target on clearance and found maneiac (nib!) at goodwill.

Btw, brain cells are overrated. No worries! I've got mixed nuts instead! lol :D

You know what? ...That, is frankly a wise allocation of spending money. I can empathize with just about every single one of those. :winkpony: I only splurg on the pricier ponies on fairly unique special occasions, myself!

By my estimation? I think only your defunct brain cells went 'missing', if any at all. The ones in charge are doing a pretty good job in my books!

I prefer Quarterback over Tux n Tails. In fact, I think Tux and his 3 wives are pretty boring.
