My grandfather is on my mind. He's been moved to a hospice room now. His vitals are very weak and he's in a lot of pain. His children (my mom, aunts and uncle) are the only ones allowed to visit him. This means that I will loose my sweet Papaw without getting to tell him goodbye in person. He knows I love him and I have spent a lot of time with him over my 42 years but still it's really sad I can't be there with him like I was my Nana while she passed. All I know is even though I wasn't supposed to, the last time I was with him I hugged him really bid and I am so glad I did.
Can you do a face call? At least it sounds like you got some great memories with him. :xmashug: I’ll never stop missing my grandpa. He passed in 2011, right before his birthday which was right before my birthday. I still have one grandpa left and I’ve adopted my 94 year old neighbor because he is a sweet old guy. I’m lucky. E only has one Grandpop at all.

Well I can visit his window but he is so unresponsive and doped up on morphine that he's not really aware of the fact someone is there, or at least that's what it seems. I keep telling my mom to say as much to him as possible because he can probably hear it but can't really respond like normal. I might try to do a window visit while she's in the room with him and FaceTime. Grandparents are special, I'm glad E has a good one.

well 2020 has not been kind to me at all :( and i guess it has not been nice to a lot of other people as well.... so far 2021 is deciding what it wants to do with me LOL
I am not one to post personal stuff online nor am i a person seeking attention but im glad I found this thread... in march 2020 i was laid off pending a call back from work cause of the virus.... 6 months later i was fired again reason given was the virus.... the only thing is i had been with my work for 21 years and can do over 15 jobs....so if my work had 400 employees that would mean 380 would need to be let go before me....(they weren't) anyways i am fighting it but they choose not to mediate so now i am waiting for a court date that can take up to 2 years to get one again cause of the virus....because companies are letting go of people and marking it as virus related they are basically getting away with firing anyone.. so i am unemployed technically
Now i am the Canadian distributor for the HQG1C ponies and i still them in Canadian money which is pretty cheap. i ship worldwide... so that is like my job now.
I also have a ton of my own dbls i am trying to sell so that is also a job for me now.
I enjoy making videos for my youtube channel called Phoenix and the noms.. it is mostly pony related with other stuff going on in my life thrown in. if i can get to 1000 subscribers i can get monetized and again that would be another job i could have.. i could become a real youtuber and it is something i can see myself doing as its pretty fun. if you would like to subscribe it would be a great help
I also run the Canadian pony collectors extravaganza in Canada... its a pony convention although we are a small one right now.. however cause of the virus conventions are a no go and the hall is currently holding my money from the 2020 event....but again that is a job as well.

so i guess i do have jobs they are just different from mainstream jobs and it pays my bills.

I hope this was not to long winded and if anyone knows me ... i never post stuff like this but its time to reach out and connect with the pony collecting community i have loved for many many years.. (im pretty old and have been around forever)

i hope all of you out there are well and i truly wish 2021 brings you some luck

Are you ever sad and just not sure why? I rearrange furniture when I'm sad. Which I'm not supposed to do because of surgical limitations, but I'm putting my interior design degree to use.
Maybe you could get an app like Roomstyler that lets you rearrange virtual rooms? That way you get to use those skills but not hurt yourself. I’m not sure if it would be the same though

Oh... I don't have any computer or device that I could put something like that on.... it's a very nice idea, though. Maybe someday I'll have semi current tech. We're stuck pre 2013 right now. Thanks to a kind friend, my parents (who got E her iPod which is the best tech in the house by far), and Amazon for inexpensive reliable tablets that have nothing to do with Google.

I have all the old school tools for drafting on paper. It's got an element of architecture in it, so I could read and draw blueprints. I spent some time drawing my dream home. Outside and in. My mom has a degree in ornamental horticulture, so it's even landscaped, to the degree that I landscape. I prefer easy maintenance yards.

The pain doesn't bother me. I think I'm messed up that way. I just have to be so careful not to ruin the surgeon's excellent work.

I wish you lots of luck in the number game.

Oh ok, yeah I only know about ones available on Apple :/ It probably wouldn’t be quite as satisfying as really rearranging it anyway
That’s really cool that you drafted blueprints for a whole house though!
Well as long as it doesn’t bother you and you’re careful :)
And thank you!

The flu is the worst! I was woken up very early by Fred (literally) jumping on me to go outside. As I sat awake at an awful hour my stomach was suddenly very upset and fever set in. Ugh! Thankfully I think it was just because I was up and moving so early... seem to be a bit better now.

I hope you and your family are better quick and your not stuck with a long flu. Not much worse than flu and fevers. :(
