I hosted my annual gift wrapping party; friends, food and a living room full of wrap, ribbons, bows and chaos
I tried to snag some foodie pics before everything was devoured, almost lost a hand
but let's see what was on the menu this year? I tried to keep it simple cause sheesh, this holiday season has come up so fast it's about run me over! A pony can only do so much when you only have a few hours after work each night but here we go...
spinach artichoke dip, deviled eggs, jalapeno almond peach cheese ball, cucumber toasties, dilly party crackers, cranberry turkey spinach pinwheels, country ham rolls, sausage balls, bacon crackers and of course various punch and party drinks.

the only thing I really prided myself on was my dessert. It doesn't look like much but it was delicious. I've been playing around with doing "steamed puddings" I feel like Mrs. Bob Cratchit LOL anyway after making my first couple I invested in a pudding crock and was excited to use it so "steamed Christmas pudding" is what we had. I had that thing steaming away all afternoon and they were all interested to watch it come out after dinner and I just silently prayed it would turn out and be done. Which it did and was *whew* all were impressed LOL this one was basically a spiced cake, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and clove with red and gold raisins and dried cranberries. I served it warm with a vanilla bean custard sauce. It was so good, and I love my new pudding crock!
