The UK Egmont magazine figures now include G5 ponies! Last time I saw, it was only a film special that only included a “super star makeup set” that wasn’t very interesting and the usual kinds you get in kids magazines with stickers on them but here we have Sunny Starscout, complete with painted hooves!

She looks pretty good for her size. I might have got her but £4.99 always seems a bit much to me when all I want is a figure that’s probably worth 20-50p… and I didn’t have much money on me anyway on this particular trip.
I really like how they actually bothered to paint her hooves compared to the brushables and other figures we’ve seen. This is my first G5 toy I’ve seen in the wild too.

Why do I never think to share these things?! xD;; I receive emails about these magazines, I started following it in hopes they'd come out with another Sunset Shimmer-themed one but, well, too late now lol.

Maybe they’ll circulate as we only have a few G5 characters to choose from for now? They did bring back figures now and again so maybe… just maybe

The figures are also being sold on eBay but still at prices I’d consider too much for me for a single figure of that size. Sometimes, even more than the magazine’s price itself…

Ohh, I'll have to keep an eye out after all, then! Thank you for letting me know that!

And yeah, I've seen the prices from resellers, I'm not that desperate.
 
I think this would be a nice generation to revive flutter ponies. Could you imagine them with sturdy, translucent, colorful wings like sun catchers?
 
There were a lot of baby ponies in the movie. Do ya think we'll get them back in the line?
 
So after watching the movie I decided to Google whether or not there will be a series like there was for g4. Evidently there WILL be a series, HOWEVER it's only set to have 23 episodes? Will they have more if the series does well? What if it doesn't do well? Will g5 end soon like g2?
 
The only point of the cartoons is to advertise the toys, so I would only expect them to end the gen "early" if the toyline is a complete flop. Like "My Little Pony 'n Friends" only lasted for, what, two seasons? But the G1 toyline kept on chugging along after it was cancelled.

I think they renew cartoons on a yearly basis. I would guess there will be several years of it, but if not they will probably switch to Youtube webisodes or something.

Netflix is pretty happy having them... Hulu is snapping up anything they can, though.
 
I thought we finally had a full brushable Hitch when I first saw just now. At least we can brush his tail. Good to see more Hitch around anyway :smile:

This is how I leaned about kimikos voice acting lol, she can voice ponies and horses ;D
 
One of the peeps on the arena pointed out that the new Trailblazer has a flocked mane! That gives me hope for So-softs.


@Sassarazzmadazzles I didn't realize they'd made a new cartoon about The Strange Island of Dr. Moreau? (Aside from The Wuzzles)
