Okay I have a problem. I cant get hold of one of my buds for a want list so I dont know what to get them! Im worried because Im running out of time to find the item and send it so I wont miss the deadlines. Do I just make a wild guess at what she will want and send that if I dont get her wantlist in time?
 
Should we still keep our people secret though when we list them so they don't find out till they receive the package and just list Person 1 mailed 11-23-05 etc...Or should we just say who we have:)

Wysteria, perhaps I am confused by what you are asking, but everyone SHOULD already know who is buying for them. (unless it's a bonus gift, where the giver is just giving out something out of the kindness of their heart and not asking for something in return.) If that's the case, then it's totally up to you if you want to post their name or not.

For example, I have darklys, Squirtsquirt, Peppermint Truly, and myself in my main group. I am also exchanging gifts with Baby Kitten Candy because she and I go way back and are close friends. I am also giving to ladydaydreamer, Krisna, Tikibirds, snyfez, and Teiris just because I feel like giving to everyone in my large group.

Ah, K, I see your group all knows who's buying for who. My group knows the other people buying for our 3 people, but we don't know which 3 people are buying for us. Does that make sense? If other's in BCK's group know's who is buying for them, maybe I'm just out of the loop here? lol.
 
Yeah, I rather enjoy not knowing who's buying for me, and having my gift-buying a secret, as well. ^-^

I did already send out one package, but that's because it's on it's way to another country and I wanted to make darned sure it got there in time!

I did wrap everything individually, but the one package I did send, I did wrap it, sort of, on the outside. I used the scrap paper and just taped it on. I needed to cover the box anyway, so I just used that instead of brown wrap! :p I don't care if it gets torn in transit, but I taped the edges all down and then added an extra strip of tape through the center to help give it some strength. If customs wants to open the box, they will have to unwrap the presents anyway, so the whole thing will be ruined no matter what.

Actually, I don't think I care if I know who is buying for me or not...I mean, we still don't know WHAT we are getting, and as much as I feel I know some of the people here, it's not like I grew up with you guys and know everything about you! It's still a mystery to some point, and it kinda makes it a better get-to-know-you activity. Sometimes too much mystery leads to too many miscommunications! :D
 
I got my wrapping paper at Menards, strangely enough. It was the last place I expected to find it. I went to all the normal stores with no luck and then while in Menards picking up "manly" presents for my stepfather I ran across MLP paper. My boyfriend was with me, I shrieked, ran across the aisle, grabbed up three rolls and started dancing.
And then I saw people looking at me and felt like a complete idiot. I doubt I will ever set foot in Menards again.
Unless of course I need another Beach Belle/Caribbean Delight. Why would Menards have two ponies in a pony purse for the price of a regular stores SLH? And it comes with 6 pony points. It's just weird... (I found them there on the same day. I felt like my world had been reformed).
So that very long, off-track message was to say: try your local Menards for wrapping paper, ajcoecoe.

Darklys - thanks! But I don't have a Menards around here. :( I *thought* someone said it was found at Wal-Mart? I haven't found it. The only place I found it so far is Toys-R-Us, and it's an hour's drive from here. We are going out that way tomorrow, though, but I dunno about them open on Thanksgiving. :\ Family Dollar - my friend said she saw it there, but I think she may have been mistaken. ^-^
 
I got my pony paper at Toys R Us. It's gorgeous! I think it was $3.99 a roll, for like 50 sq. ft. :?: But yeah, my WalMart doesn't carry the pony paper, only every other character under the sun. :? And no Menards around anywhere, never heard of it in fact. Prolly why I don't have Carribean Delight and the other pretty one! :cry:

I'll be mailing off ALL my packages tomorrow morning, except Baby Kitten Candy's. So everyone who originally emailed me, have a check back here for details after I post all the shipping info for you all. I've been a busy girl, trust me. From all this swap stuff (you all will see what I mean when you open your gifts! :p ), and printing out pics and making my own christmas cards, filling them all out, I've got lots to mail tomorrow. :wink: Feels good to almost be done. Now...if only I could finish up BKC's gift package. *sighs*

I found the paper on Thanksgiving, lol. We were out and did a bit of shopping. First we found it at K-mart for $4.99 50 sq. feet. o_O Wal-Mart (biiig Supercenter) right next store, so we went there and they had it! 70 sq. feet for 2.96. :) Yippee! So I got it and took the other roll back to K-mart! :)

So I just got in the last gift I was waiting for today - got 2 of my person's totally wrapped up and ready ('cept for the card, lol), and now I can finish this one. :)
 
I got all my packaged shipped out Friday, with the exception of Peppermint Truly's, but I let her know already that I sent that early so she would get it before she left.

So, hopefully, everyone will be getting their gifts this coming week! I can't wait until everyone finds out what they got!
 
Mine will be going out soon, but they're not out yet. I intend to wait til the beginning of next week, but I will send everything priority/air mail so it should work out okay. I am waiting on my darn MLP gift tags, because of all the people I am buying for you guys would probably appreciate them the most. Everything is wrapped and sitting with it's box ... but I have my pride, and I want my cute little gift tags. So sorry, my swappers will have to wait a few extra days.

That's totally fine, Darklys! I actually did get Baby Boomba's package today, but I'm resisting! I think I'd like to wait until everyone's stuff is in, then have a huge opening frenzy! MLP everywhere, that kind of thing. We'll see if I can resist long enough, though. I want to get our tree tonight, so I have to clean out the dining room anyway.

Since we are supposed to send by Dec. 10th-ish at the latest, you are totally fine waiting a few days. Now, if you find you have to next day express things to get them to us by Christmas Eve... :naughty: :D

Squirtsquirt - In case you are afraid to ruin the surprise by openning the box, everything inside is wrapped, so nothing will be ruined. :wink: There is also a little gift inside for Isabelle, mainly from Faith. She wanted to send her something too. :) Glad to hear it got to you quickly and safely.

I have Baby Kitten Candy's all ready to go. Now, if only my paypal account would get straightened out, (Thanks a lot amazon.com! :evil: ), I can get to the post office to ship hers! But I'm not holding out much hope for them fixing it fast enough as I would like them too! :evil:
