merry treats: same here. i have about a million things to mail in the next week! i get paid every two weeks and my hours suck, so i had to sell some crap on ebay to cover shipping costs. guh. ;)
 
I tried to contact the people who were buying for my people to see if I had room to get them other stuff since I don't want to double up, but I never heard from them!

The ponies are all wrapped and waiting packaging though, which I need to go get today.
 
Okay, everything has been mailed out, save for 1/2 of ladydaydreamer's, and that should be out soon :3
 
Just wanted to post here for those of you who have been trying to contact me. Three of my kids, and myself, have been very ill for the last 5 days, so I have not been online. I think I have replied to everyone's PMs and emails, so drop me a quick line if I didn't get back to you. :wink:

Please let me know when you get your stuff so I can throw out the insurance slips. 3 packages today, $25+ in shipping. The USPS must loooove Christmas.
 
I hear ya, darklys...it was $20-something to get mine sent out, and I sent PT out a week earlier, so I didn't even send all the packages at once!

All this money coming in and they are still raising postal rates the 7th of Jan... :roll:

OK, I was feeling a bit down today...so I openned my gifts from Squirtsquirt and Teiris. 8) I wasn't going to open them until I had everything here, but I needed a little pick me up today. I cannot thank you two enough!! :shock: *hugs you both*

Squirtsquirt, I was totally wrong on the small package, LOL. I thought they were 2 McD ponies (Mexican ones maybe? *shrugs*), but I wasn't expecting THOSE two to be in there! :shock: I love everything I got from you! (Faith does too! ROFL *pulls Baby Chuck E Cheese and Baby Beachball from her little grabby hands*)

And Teiris, you stinker! You didn't have to send me anything! That was so very kind of you! And ya know what?? I was just telling my hubby the other day that I needed new socks AND slippers! :wink: I have neuropathy, which gives me bad circulation in extremities. So I can most definitely use the socks and slippers! :wink: When I showed my hubby them when he got home from work today, he smiled and shook his head! 8)

I am unsure if I will be able to take picks of everything I get. My camera is nearly dead, and it takes me a good hour to get my computer to read the camera when connected. I'd like to take picks of all the goodies whenit's all said and done, and brag in the show and tell forum, as I rarely do that there. :wink:

And I got my present from Squirtsquirt! I didn't expect anyone to mail to my Canadian address, so I was surprised! Thank you soooo much! I squealed (in my head because people are sleeping lol). I'm so happy :D

For those who sent to my US address, I won't get there til Christmas to open anything.

And, LDD, your 2nd package will be mailed soon!

Well, I'm glad you guys liked your stuff! I know I fooled you, Baby Boomba, with the babies!! :twisted: I thought it would be easier to wrap them together to make a more square package to wrap, since individual ponies can be a pain to wrap! Even Cloud Climber was a mess, but at least the back card gave me some sort of flat surface.

Teiris, I figured you'd get things at the Canadian address faster, and really, shipping there isn't that much more than within the country. Now if you'd had a UK address, then you would have had to wait until the holidays in the states!

I want to know if Peppermint Truly got mine, too, since I sent it early to her address. I like sending things to people directly, since sometimes when you send to another address, they break up, move, aren't talking to each other, the package is lost or refused then lost in return mail...So, hopefully she did get it, and they are all safely in Mexico.

I'm still waiting to open mine, but I have so much to do around here, it's easy to forget the box has some wrapped surprises. I had a couple job interviews, but I am thinking neither will pan out... :roll: . Back to square one.
 
When I sent mine to Peppermint_Truly I sent it with the whole "care of" so hopefully that will help. For some reason they told me insurance was unavailable to her address, so that is the ONE uninsured package. I am very stressed about sending it, and curious as to whether you guys were told the same?
*sigh* Hopefully it gets there.
 
You can only insure a package to Mexico if sending it air parcel post. You can't insure letter post packages. I didn't insure my package to her either. She told me how she trusted Jonathan, so I sent it on to him, using "c/o" also. That was an expensive one to mail for me, at nearly $20. :? But I knew it would be. :wink:

If I remember correctly, Karina isn't back home to Mexico until sometime in January. So it may take awhile before we all hear if our packages got there safe. Think positive. They are all probably sitting there waiting for her to return! :wink:
 
BB, which address did you send to? If it was the US one, I more than likely have it waiting there for me :)
I remember when I saw the slippers I was like, "Well she's a mommy, and I've never met a mom who doesn't like slippers!"
 
I sent it air, they still wouldn't let me put insurance on it. :(
But it didn't cost $20 either, so far, my most expensive was the package to Greece *looks slyly at Unicorn Gusty* but I'm pretty sure it was worth it. :p

darklys - Air isn't the issue, it's what type of air you send it. Air letter post cannot be insured, but air parcel post can be. Parcel post is more expensive, as it's more for heavier and larger sized packages. But even if you mail out a loose pony only, and need it insured, you have to pay out the butt for air parcel post in order to get the insurance. I VERY RARELY use insurance internationally. It's just way too pricey! :roll:
