MLPTP EVENT She Turned into a Pumpkin Pie (Step #3 Discussion)

she actually asked me if I was high...

it does seem like something a high person would do.... ;)
it's actually more of an excuse than well, I'm part of this pony forum... there's no way around it, half the pony stories I tell people start that way, it's kinda my 'band camp' 'pony forum' intro, and I get a lot of 'uh huh...' (smile and nod) responses. if I just told people I was high all the time they would think I was stupid as h*ll, but they would probably make more sense out of it. lol.

That was HARD! First, no pumkpin pies. No pies save cherry actually. Ran to the track, as I remembered two weeks ago my guests from there brought pumpkin pie. I asked if they still had a slice by chance. The one girl said yes there was half left, but don't eat it as it was left out of the fridge for a day and probably was fuzzy! :uhoh: I said no prob, I don't want to eat it, I want to photograph it! Got some strange looks, but okay I got my pie.

Went back to the grocery store, now at rush hour, and bought the cream. There were people EVERYWHERE and none of them looked understanding. The bakery guy was alone behind the counter and really busy and not likely to have found my request to help hold an old moldy pie while I plucked a pony in it and creamed the thing very appealing. Every other person was a clerk with a line 5 or 6 people deep. I needed to put the thing SOMEWHERE. So I took my moldy prize, pucked it atop the grocery carts, shoved Autumn Breeze into it and whip creamed her back and mane, took the cell phone shot and bagged everything up to beat a hasty retreat before anyone stopped to wonder why I was doing this strange thing to begin with.

And that's my pie pony story.

My Embarassing Story

Well yesterday I took my freshly made pumpkin Pie to the store. The employees thought it was hilarious and even wrote on the special board "Pinkie Pie's Famous Pumpkin Pie." I got my photo with the boss holding the Pumpkin Pie in front of the sign.

Well...when I got home I realised you couldn't tell it was Pumpkin Pie in the photo. So first thing this morning I had to trot back to the store, pie in hand for another photo. I decided to put it on the counter this time to take a second shot.

Can't wait to see this outtake after the step :) I'm glad I'm not the only one having a crazy time of this.

:hysterical: This is the best photo hunt story I have heard. I am so sorry for all the trouble you all are going to for these pictures but they are GREAT!!!

Wow this sure is an adventure!!! I go to the store buy the last pumpkin pie they had. Better to pay for the pie before shoving a pony in it. I go to the Halloween candy isle and put pony in pie then put on the cream that I had also bought and take photos. I come all the way home only to discover that I didn't put any of the cream on the ponys head!!!! Just on her back soooo I pack pie, pony and cream back up and head back out to the store for more photos with pony and cream!!!

Well the lady at the store was actually a better sport about it than I thought. I explained the situation to her and at first she laughed and said she thought she was going to be on t.v. or something! Then she even offered to be in the pic so it was obvious I was inside the store.

But I took the pic and she was even nice enough to wash Sparkleworks off for me afterwards. I guess you never know what someone might do until you ask!!

Oh you guys are so much fun. I'm enjoying myself no end reading about these adventures and remembering my own. I do so love the hunt, even if it did bring me perilously close to ending up backside first in an open grave in the middle of the night. LOL!

I can't stop giggling at all these ponies up to their fetlocks in pumpkin tart (well it looks like a tart too me) and smothered in cream. It's just too funny.

My husband got home really late from work tonight, so I wasn't able to get to the store. I hope I can get there in the morning! I don't want to miss out on this one!

i have to skip this one. i went out to look for pumpkin pies and no one had any one sale. my sister didn't want me to spend over $5.00 on the pie or nearly $3.00 for whipped cream. i carried my camera and pony in case i did find one.
Safeway did have pie by the slice, but the slice was so thinly cut, you could not stand a pony on it at all. if only this was a week and half earlier, i could have done this. that was when my sister bought her pie for $2.00.

Pumpkin pie in NSW?!

Hey! Where can you get pumpkin pie in NSW Australia Princess Pinkstar?! I love it and make my own every year cuz i've never seen it down here! :eek:verlord:

When we went to the store, the guy behind the counter thought we were crazy and refused to be in the pic, but said it was ok for us to set the pie on the counter to take the picture...and he ran off to somewhere else in the store - telling the people he passed about us as we're lobbing whipped cream onto Kiwi Tart

I think this is going to be the story of the hunt year! *lol*

Gah, what a bummer. There weren't any pumpkin pies at the first two stores I went to so I had to go to Sam's Club. And they only sell whipped cream in packs of three cans, and I just couldn't justify paying over $6 to get the extra points. Oh well. Have to catch up later.

I had to miss this one too. Hopefully my life won't get in the way of this next one! dang life!

I'm on a small island and our general store doesn't sell pies at all so I had to make mine (my first pie to, which is why it looks like crap, lol) Fortunately the store owner let me take pics of the pie there; if she had refused I would have been out points as it's the only store on the island >.<
