MLPTP EVENT She Turned into a Pumpkin Pie (Step #3 Discussion)

my sister just had pumpkin pie not too long ago. and alas, it is gone. but i think she may still have whipped cream. i dont eat pie much, kinda silly to buy a pie for the pic or make one and only eat one slice and everyone else eats the rest. not to mention low on cash.

That's about the only perk of working retail. You don't ask. You just do. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to REdo since all four pony feet aren't visible in the ones I took last night. Grr...
 
Yuck, i had to wash all of the whipped cream out of toola-roola's hair...
 
This has been so much fun to watch! And I must say, I really love the titles of the threads. :) They just amuse me for some reason.

And I feel so sorry for any of you who do not have pumpkin pie available to you! You are missing out!! Or at least...I think so. I absolutely LOVE pumpkin pie! You should import some canned pumpkin and make it. :p Although it tastes a lot better if you use fresh pumpkin and make it yourself...as long as you do it right. If it's done wrong it comes out gross and stringy. >_<

...now I want pie.
 
Good thing my husband likes pumpkin pie - I hate it. I hate looking at it and I hate the smell of it, so this one will be fun for me.

I am making my own pumpkin puree today SS, so there will be pumpkin pie in Australia!! Yippee!!

Here's an easy (no bake) recipe for it:

No Bake Pumpkin Pie I - Allrecipes

you need:
1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 (.25 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree

If you can you get those things where you live, you can has PIE!

I was just about to put up a pumpkin pie recipe too! I make one every year from a real pumpkin. I LOVE pumpkin pie, and I LOVE ponies, so this should be an awesome step for me, being the spectator that I am.

Hey, I may have to play this step just for fun too!!!

Maybe a deep cleansing shampoo meant for getting product residue out of hair would work. I'll let you know when I wash Crystal Lace's hair later with my TRESemmé (TRESemmé, TRESemmé, ooh la la!).
 
Oh geeze, the lady at the bakery thought I was nuts.

First, "well the lid won't close." I know that, I'll carry it.

"You need to put it in there, I won't do it." No problem I totally understand.

"You want me to put whip cream where?" I say on it's head and bum. "It won't stay." Gosh darnit all just DO IT ALREADY!

I do feel bad for wasting a pie though. I only took one bite. At least everyone at the checkout counter thought it was cute.:pumpk1:

Ehhh.... thats what happens when you only collect NM to Mint ponies, and don't like pie. :lol:
 
This was a fun challenge. :) When I was at the checkout my pie fell half way out of the box, since I had already opened it, and I got a funny look from the cashier since the pie also had finger prints (actually hoof marks) in the middle of it. I was like "No, don't worry... I already opened it" and under my breathe I said "and squished a pony in it". lol ^_^;; And what's more fitting than the Halloween aisle? :) Great pictures everone! This was a slightly messy challenge too.
 
I asked to take a picture of the pie and pony in store and was told no at both publix and walmart... the manager at publix stalked me around the store like he was going to catch me doing it anyway, and even followed me out the door and watched me get into the car?!
 
I went. I looked at pie. My daughter had a meltdown. I left store with no picture and no pie.
I'm gonna try again tonight without Maddie. Hopefully i will have more luck.

:lol: What did he think, that you were making a pie bomb?
He probably thought you weren't going to pay for it, and just make a mess in the store.
Thats ridiculous. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you.
 
Argh, went by the grocery store tonight on the way home from work and all they had was sweet potato pie, which I hate, and wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole, much less dunk a pony in.
Please, Mississippi, get your pumpkin pies a'rollin'! May have to do mine for fun and post it after the deadline.
 
omg!

I cant believe I did that. My sister-in-law works for a grocery store and I had to tell her what I was doing before I did it. she actually asked me if I was high... lol!!! its was fun, I couldnt stop laughing.
