That was HARD! First, no pumkpin pies. No pies save cherry actually. Ran to the track, as I remembered two weeks ago my guests from there brought pumpkin pie. I asked if they still had a slice by chance. The one girl said yes there was half left, but don't eat it as it was left out of the fridge for a day and probably was fuzzy! :uhoh: I said no prob, I don't want to eat it, I want to photograph it! Got some strange looks, but okay I got my pie.
Went back to the grocery store, now at rush hour, and bought the cream. There were people EVERYWHERE and none of them looked understanding. The bakery guy was alone behind the counter and really busy and not likely to have found my request to help hold an old moldy pie while I plucked a pony in it and creamed the thing very appealing. Every other person was a clerk with a line 5 or 6 people deep. I needed to put the thing SOMEWHERE. So I took my moldy prize, pucked it atop the grocery carts, shoved Autumn Breeze into it and whip creamed her back and mane, took the cell phone shot and bagged everything up to beat a hasty retreat before anyone stopped to wonder why I was doing this strange thing to begin with.
And that's my pie pony story.
