I dont remember if ive commented on here before, but i do not like beachball from g1 at all lol - i think shes the worst lookin pony lol

I agree but I couldnt see the big deal about seaflower until I got her in person. One friend of mine was obessed with her and she didnt win her. Needless to say she was bummed. I didnt blame her. I dont think she collects though anymore I dont really know.
 
I think the skin tones should be flipped because: logic

Celestia is the sun: your skin tans while you’re in the sun (or completely burns if you’re like me lol red head problems)

Luna is the moon: the more you’re in the dark, the lighter your skin is going to be (trust me, my belly is a light beacon, it never sees the light of day)

but either way, I still want these dolls lol

I hate all versions of humanized ponies, which includes the expensive statues shown above as well as the integrity dolls.

I still don't know why Luna was the only human version with pony attributes. (The horn)

On the Kotobukiya Blog page about Luna, they answer that very question

“As Her Highness Luna has been spending her time alone for a long time, she didn’t have much chances to meet other people. That gave me an inspiration to the design with her horn, thinking she could forget to hide the horn when she turned into her human form.”​

I've read it. it just still doesn't make sense to me from an astethic standpoint. All the others are fully human versions. I would not want a set, personally, that had one oddball. I am an odd ball and usually like the off later ones, but this just bugs me.it doesn't matter anyway since I'll never own any of the due to cost.

I am also a member of this club, I'm interested in the ponies because they're ponies, keep ya dang humans out of my ponies!

I think it was more of a symbolic thing. Luna is night and has a darker color scheme so she got a darker skin tone, and Celestia is day and has a bright color scheme so she got a light skin tone
(Also how pretty is Luna’s dress in that pic? :D )

*The Donkey G3 pose is my least favourite pose of the G3s, it just looks incredibly awkward.

*G4.5's style isn't bad, in my opinion. It's not my favourite, but they're pretty cute, and they have visible hooves, always a plus to me. The show isn't my cup of tea, however.

I actually adore the Kotobukiya statues; just wish they weren't so darn pricey. Humanizing ponies isn't odd to me only because, through several years of roleplaying experience, I've had animal versions of most of my human OCs. Ponies, wolves, Pokemon, you name it. Never within the same universe, mind you, unless it was a shapeshifting RP. I don't like seeing animal attributes on humans, though, it just looks... tacky, I guess.

Anyways! My silly complaint for the day is that Hasbro should have named the G3 birthstone pony November Rain instead of November Nights. :tongue: (What can I say, I'm a rock fanatic.)

Yes, this! I have Lemon Drop (yellow version), came with a Pony Mansion and always thought they look so...sad. It's the pose, makes the ponies look downtrodden and defeated. They are indeed cute but the pose is not the best.

I took absolutely love Neon ponies, my favorite has got to be Hula Hula.

Darker ponies are also something I live for, I am not much of a collector but I'd like to have all ponies with moon/star themes (except perhaps the newer ones that just don't do it for me).
 
I find the Collectors Pose boring.

I don't care for most Nirvanas. Honestly most of them are just expensive, too simple, and have badly painted eyes and symbols, which probably is part of the appeal. Some of the special colour ones are interesting though, and I understand that very long-term collectors are after the challenge of finding them.

I like weird gimmicky ponies. Perfume Puffs are my favorite set, but I also love the super tinsel-y Princesses, Pocket ponies and even BBE's.

I love the sweetheart sisters.

I think Up Up Away is the ugliest pony.
 
Every time I see g1 Windy... I cringe. The hair color, symbol art, I've NEVER seen one in good shape either. Just... big OOF. A lot could have so many other ponies, and if I see her in there I'll probably ignore it.
