I've found some pretty grotty ponies over the last few years...

And poor Baby Starbow!

Eeww eeww eewww!!! Poor Cotton Candy and Gusty... And I'm just too embarrassed for words for Shady. Too sad. *wipes away tear*

Eeeeek!! Noooo!! Not Baby Starbow!! *dies on the inside*

That poor Gusty, though o_O;; I'm glad my dogs are short and can't reach my ponies. And yuck to the outside-mold Baby Firefly. That's just nasty. Now I REALLY wish I had gotten a "before" picture of my Moldy :D

I would love to see how that buried Cotton Candy cleaned up!!! Some of these ponies are just icky but for some reason are really cool to see.

This is not my pony; unfortunately I don't remember who posted this, but I thought it was so amusing that I saved the photo.

Someone recently found a Cotton Candy in her yard.. that had been burried for 15+ years.

Here she is, EXHUMED FROM THE GRAVE:

Spoosh FTW!

Poor Cotton Candy. What's a zombie pony to do?

& wow BabyNightmare, your dog: 1, Gusty: 0.

Oh my lordy...poor Cotton! But I guess she may clean up with a bit of scrubbing.
I bought a FF Snuzzle on ebay some time ago...she looked OK in the pic, and the seller did say she was rattling...but when i took her head off, the rust just kept pouring out.
She's still soaking in bleach four weeks later. Grim!

bumping this thread to add this:

it's been in my collection waiting to deflocked for over a year.. and contains the secret lair of the swampman?!

=D

see the soap bubbles inside? she was soaking for over two hours BEFORE I took that pic. nasty, huh?

WOW.

That's amazing. Is that mold? Or is it tail rust?? What the heck???

Have you managed to clean her out completely?

That's disgusting o=o;

I haven't cleaned her yet, she's still sitting on my bathroom counter in two pieces. I don't even know where to begin..

May I suggest rubber gloves, disinfectant, a surgical fume-proof mask and safety goggles?

EDIT: Oh, and a bio-hazard warning.

lol.

I used my Baby Crumpet as a bath toy for like, eight years. After my baths, she either came in my room with me, to be played with in the mud the next day, or left on the edge of the tub with the rest of the bath toys. When I was just starting to collect a couple years ago, I opened her up and found a TON of nasty fuzzy mold.. but it was probably less than a quarter of what's in there, and it was obviously mold (fuzzy). In Skippity there, it's just SOLID BLACK. like.. tar. ew.

Oh! It's a super-rare Reverse So-Soft Pony!! The fuzz is on the inside!

Ha! Now that's funny!

ROFLMAO!

This is a great thread, I just wish there were more pics! I wish I had pics, but had I bothered to take pics of aaaaall the icky ponies I've had, I wouldn't know where to start or end...

It's more often than seldom, that when I find ponies here, their insides are filled with centimeter-thick rust, dirt, shizzle and what not... and it's NOT very pleasant to clean ponies like that. I'm surprised I even have a decent collection, with all the nastyness I've had to clean, scrub and disinfect in my time!

I've had nasty Seaponies full of dried mud, because some kids decided they were Mudponies, not Seaponies... At one point they must have been taken inside to a warm spot, because inside 2 of them, it actually seemed like there was about to grow real grass inside and I found grass seed in the mud I scraped out!

I've had Baby Ponies full of rust, in fact I recall a couple of babies I got - Baby Glory, Moondancer and Tiddly-Winks. All 3 of them were soooo rusty inside, that the rust has settled and it took me half a day to boil it soft again, so I could get their heads of.
How I could tell they were rusty? Their ears, noses, feet and of course almost their entire hair were red/brown... even on the outside, they were a horrid sight!

I found an absolutely gorgeus Glory once and she was looking suspeciously fantastic - simply too good to be true.
I popped her open and found she'd been used as stash for someone at some point... *shifts eyes*
Execept for finding that she indeed was moldy inside, I also found...

1) A huge, but dead spider inside.
2) A couple of cigarette butts.
3) A couple of old, dry chewing gums.
4) A keyring w/ no attachment.
5) A hand and a foot from a Barbie-doll (?!)
6) A phone sex ad from an old newspaper from 86, I think it was...(!!)

Now THAT was freaky!
She cleaned up extremely well and today there's no signs of her ever having been the hiding place for some lunatic's secret stash

OMG, SillyBilly! That's GROSS! (I have also found cigarette butts, but Barbie limbs?!!?)

No way can I compete in this class of dirtiness, but I do have a zombie pony:

I have no idea where I got her from, either. One day she just kind of showed up!
