Well I'd have said Sparky, or Sparkly-gee that fits with the latest naming trends don't it? *huray for sarcasm XD;* but it's not Glory is what I'm rantng about. Glory is a shooting star not diamonds.

and the wing thing is still wrong. i get what you mean (I love Dark crystal myself) and it would be a neat idea, but for PP and RD...it just feels wrong to me.

Omg

My dad works for hasbro and told me they were reissuing them... but that's the worst looking thing i have ever seen. Too bad my dad doesn't work for the Rhode island division which makes ponies.... otherwise I would tell them a thing or 2. Why can't they just go back to the original design, which is clearly superior to all this other crap?!?!?
 
^_^ Yay for familiar faces!! I think Posey looks absolutely ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!! And the pony they call Glory...maybe it's the original's daughter? I mean it is possible that when a baby pony grows up, they can change their symbols..otherwise we'd have a lot of ponys going by Lickety Split...think of all the chaos! One pony yells 'Hey Lickety Split!' and five identical ponys turn around! XD

As for the design for Posey, Applejack, & etc, I must say I am curious and find them very spunky; I likey!

So, unfortunately the G3's will cease to be released and the new G4's will be available in stores... this means you will have to trade or ebay for G3's just like you do for G1's and G2's. And just to remind you all... I got the inside scoop from my dad who works at Hasbro, but not at the Rhode Island factory where pony central is. And I guess they keep reissuing because well, the G2's failed miserably and then now they just want to keep things up to date. And apparently the new G4's are supposed to look like they fit into the world of Anime to raise popularity.

The first thing I said to my dad when I saw this picture was that it looks like an alien, bug, robot pony and its terrifying. Now, I have never been a fan of the G'3 but I would rather they continue than have this thing I would be ashamed to call my little pony released. I, for one, will never, ever own one. But truthfully, the cartoon is kinda adorable, thank god it doesn't reflect the G4's look.
 
I agree, the cartoon is adorable... I wish I could find a better quality version of that posey pic, she's so darn sweet looking! I want to make an adoptie of her!
 
Reading all of you saying "Eww! I don't like that" Or "WHY!? Hasbro why!? *Angst angst* is really funny, mostly it's because Hasbro has already made up their minds about this. There's nothing you can do about this, other then not buy their stuff, but I bet my complete Ranma1/2 manga collection that there will be millions of children, (Yes, both boys and girls.) who watch Pokemon and other anime-shows will take interest in this new look of the ponies and will want to play with them.


Muahh-hahahah!! The American Children are all turning into an army of Otaku. That means lots more toy companies are going to release a lot more cooler looking toys and stuff.

Yes, I admit that I am little annoyed, but I get the joke. I mean most of us are grown adults who spend hundreds of dollars collecting children toys..... >_>;

Hey! She can be repainted, I bet that mold would produced an amazing custom pony, Her angry eyes can be wiped off easily with a bit of acetone and repainted.

If you really want a Custom Pony of her as Red Roses I bet that I can do it beautifully.

Yar! I'm itching to get my hands on her, I hope they release her soon. I wanna start making customs with her, so many possibilities.....

I'm pretty sure that Posey will NOT be in the show. The artist originally did pictures of several G1 ponies in her style, including Applejack, Firefly, Posey, and Twilight (the unicorn one), but I believe only Applejack is going to be used.

The artist conspicuously took down her drawings of the other G1s, though you can find them if you are skilled in Google-fu.

Gods, I hope not. I always thought anime was really a tactic to take over the world. Apparently it is.

Then again I am a hardcore G1 fan. Gimme the chubby ponies that look like ponies, the ones that sparked my obsession, the ones that bring a smile to my face even when I'm having a bad day.

I'm not against the other generations, I just don't like that they (like most other 80s toys that have been re-released) get the "skinny makeover". Things were popular then because of how they looked- chubby, rounded, cute. G1s were popular for YEARS in the same style. G2's got the "skinny look' and didn't last as long. G3s were a bit curvier, but Hasbro has been changing them every couple of years.

Yes, I understand that they are a company that are out to make money. I just hate the fact they are jumping on this anime bandwagon. Ponies should look like PONIES. If they want to be edgy or whatever they should come out with a whole new line of toys.

Elyson Gear- you are the only one that seems to have a problem with people having an opinion that's not yours. We are a loving community that respects and WELCOMES others' opinions. It keeps things interesting and new. Heck, I've ended up seeing several things in a new light because of reading other peoples' posts. Being sarcastic about things people have said won't get you far here. Just a friendly heads up :)
 
Oh no, what did they do to her wings??!! I loved the first pics of the winged uni (mostly cause I have plans to make a custom, heh) and while I don't mind the other choices the wings are horrible and cheap looking, even Starcatcher's had more detail. I'm relly hoping they'll change them...

I love the anime ponies, the expressions make me giggle:)

Hear hear! I've actually come to like the G3.5s when I said I would NEVER buy one! Well, I only have 3 now, but still! Members who were excited about them and posted about it eventually rubbed off on me a little! It's fine not to like everything with the MLP name but let the rest of us enjoy (or dislike) multiple generations of stuff if we want to! Keeps us off the streets, right? :angel2:
