I kinda like 'em.

LOL! MustbeJewel wins for best response xD that collection is JAW dropping and- I WANT YOUR JUMBO MINTY PLUSH ;___;
I was getting into other things when '91, 92 rolled around. Anime mostly. I had many G1's as a little kid, I was MLP obsessed, I wish I still had all the ones I had as a kid (even though I likely mauled them too much) I especially loved the babies, Flutter ponies, Sea ponies, and my sleeping bag (which I snuggled to ribbons for years and years until it was bleeding cotton)
When I saw G2 in stores when I was just a preteen- now I honestly thought these things were knock-off's when I saw them, I felt no desire to own one. It wasn't until I started researching My Little Pony toys again after the introduction of G4 that I realized that these 'strange looking' ponies were officially manufactured by Hasbro. G2 has sort of grown on me now that I know they're really official figures. I'm kinda sad, though, because a few months ago, I spotted a few G2 in a bin at a 2nd hand shop and thought for sure they were knock-offs. from now on i'll know better
I'm honestly in the collecting game for G4's, now. I absolutely adore their bright colours and expressive eyes [plus i'm a fan of the show and the characters, so I feel they have alot of personality, too]. I can see why old school collectors might not be too fond of them, though. They're the tiniest ponies there have been yet for a generation [but that's actually part of the appeal for me, I have a huge collection of toys already, and the size of G4 makes it easy to add them to the hoard]
